The Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA) was honoured to participate in the Pacific Managers Development Programme (PMDP) Recall Day for graduates from the Papua New Guinea Internal Revenue Commission and the PNG Customs Service, with the Head of the PITAA Secretariat joining the event virtually on Thursday, 31st April.
In his remarks, the Head of Secretariat reflected on the impact of PMDP, both as a leader and a proud alumnus of the programme, and commended participants for their commitment, resilience, and strong participation. The event marked an important milestone, shifting focus from project completion to real-world implementation and organisational impact.
PITAA extends its sincere appreciation to:
๐ค The Australian Government, through DFAT, (Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade), whose grant funding made delivery of the PMDP possible.
๐ค Oceania Customs Organisation for its continued support and engagement to the programme.
๐ค Internal Revenue Commission PNG for its continued funding support to the PITAA Training Fund.
๐ค Internal Revenue Commission PNG and Papua New Guinea Customs Services for their continued support to the PMDP.
These strategic partnerships are vital investments in people, leadership capability, and the long-term effectiveness of revenue administrations across the Pacific.
Congratulations to all PMDP participants and graduates. PITAA looks forward to your continued leadership and to sharing your success stories as PMDP projects translate into meaningful results.
