Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization is responsible for testing national athletes in & out of competition and athletes from other countries competing in Egypt

The National Anti-Doping Program

EGY-NADO was established by Government by Ministerial Declaration of president of The National Sports Council No. 62 on 18 April 2009 then EGY-NADO temporarily originated with the Decision of the Egyptian Olympic Committee in March 2010 and re-established again
( as an independent organization) by decision of the president of the National Sports Council No. 485 of 2012 dated July 19, 2012 with the objective of acting as the independent National Anti-Doping Organization for Egypt. As such, EGY-NADO has the necessary authority and responsibility for:

• Planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and advocating improvements in Doping Control;

• Cooperating with other relevant national organizations, agencies and other Anti-Doping Organizations;

• Encouraging reciprocal Testing between National Anti-Doping Organizations;

• Planning, implementing and monitoring anti-doping information, education and prevention programs;

• Promoting anti-doping research;

• Vigorously pursuing all potential anti-doping rule violations within its jurisdiction, including investigating whether Athlete Support Personnel or other Persons may have been involved in each case of doping, and ensuring proper enforcement of Consequences;

• Conducting an automatic investigation of Athlete Support Personnel within its jurisdiction in the case of any anti-doping rule violation by a Minor and of any Athlete Support Personnel who has provided support to more than one Athlete found to have committed an anti-doping rule violation;

• Cooperating fully with WADA in connection with investigations conducted by WADA pursuant to Article 20.7.10 of the Code; and

• Where funding is provided, withholding some or all funding to an Athlete or Athlete Support Personnel while he or she is serving a period of Ineligibility for violation of anti-doping rules.

المنظمة المصرية لمكافحة المنشطات تشارك في توعية مدربي كرة القدم استعدادًا للكود الدولي الجديد ٢٠٢٧.

في إطار استعداداتها لتطبيق الكود الدولي لمكافحة المنشطات لعام ٢٠٢٧، شاركت المنظمة المصرية لمكافحة المنشطات (EGY-NADO) في الدورة الأفريقية للحصول على الرخصة التدريبية D لمدربي كرة القدم، التي نظمها الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم – فرع القاهرة.

وتضمنت المشاركة جلسة توعوية تناولت عددًا من الموضوعات الرئيسية في مجال مكافحة المنشطات، من بينها:

🔹 حقوق ومسؤوليات الرياضيين.
🔹 العذر المرضي والإجراءات المتعلقة بها.
🔹 قائمة المواد والطرق المحظورة.
🔹 انتهاكات قواعد مكافحة المنشطات والعواقب المترتبة عليها.
🔹 دور المدربين في توعية الرياضيين ودعم التزامهم بقواعد مكافحة المنشطات.
🔹 أبرز التعديلات والتغييرات التي يتضمنها الكود الدولي لمكافحة المنشطات لعام 2027.

وتأتي هذه المشاركة تأكيدًا على أهمية توعية المدربين باعتبارهم أحد أهم عناصر المنظومة الرياضية وأكثرها تأثيرًا في الرياضيين، ودورهم في تعزيز الوعي بقواعد مكافحة المنشطات، وترسيخ مبادئ النزاهة واللعب النظيف.

وتواصل المنظمة المصرية لمكافحة المنشطات جهودها التوعوية مع مختلف عناصر المنظومة الرياضية، دعمًا لثقافة الرياضة النظيفة وحمايةً لصحة الرياضيين ومستقبلهم الرياضي.

🇪🇬 EGY-NADO at the 2026 BWF World Junior Championships

In cooperation with the Badminton World Federation (BWF), EGY-NADO carried out anti-doping sample collection during the 2026 BWF World Junior Championships, held in Cairo, Egypt, from 5 to 17 October 2026, supporting the event’s anti-doping program and promoting fair play among all participating athletes.

This collaboration reflects EGY-NADO’s ongoing commitment to supporting anti-doping efforts at international sporting events hosted in Egypt, safeguarding the integrity of sport, and promoting a clean and fair sporting environment for the next generation of champions.

EGY-NADO Builds Capacity for the Future of Clean Sport

As part of its ongoing capacity-building efforts, EGY-NADO organized a workshop for medical students to identify promising candidates interested in pursuing a career as Doping Control Officers (DCOs).

The students showed great enthusiasm and a strong desire to join the anti-doping community, contributing to the protection of clean athletes and the promotion of fair play.

Through such initiatives, EGY-NADO continues to invest in young talent and develop a highly qualified workforce dedicated to protecting clean sport.

🇪🇬 EGY-NADO at the 2026 African Triathlon Championships

In cooperation with World Triathlon and the International Testing Agency (ITA), the EGY-NADO team carried out anti-doping sample collection during the 2026 African Triathlon Championships, supporting the event’s anti-doping program and ensuring fair play among all participating athletes.

EGY-NADO remains committed to protecting clean sport, upholding the principles of integrity, and ensuring a level playing field for all athletes. 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Preparing for the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code

As part of EGY-NADO’s ongoing efforts to prepare for the implementation of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code, a dedicated workshop will be held for coaches and athlete support personnel of the Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu Federation.

The workshop aims to strengthen awareness and understanding of anti-doping rules and requirements, supporting clean sport and protecting athletes.

🟢 المنظمة المصرية لمكافحة المنشطات حاضرة في كأس العالم للأندية لكرة اليد 🤾‍♂️

تواصل المنظمة المصرية لمكافحة المنشطات (EGY-NADO) أداء دورها في دعم وتعزيز الرياضة النظيفة، من خلال مشاركتها في أعمال كأس العالم للأندية لكرة اليد، التي استضافتها مصر خلال الفترة من 24 سبتمبر إلى 1 أكتوبر 2026.

وبالتنسيق مع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة اليد (IHF) ووكالة الاختبارات الدولية (ITA)، تواجد فريق المنظمة خلال منافسات البطولة التي أقيمت في صالة العاصمة الإدارية الجديدة، حيث تم تنفيذ عمليات سحب العينات من عدد من اللاعبين المشاركين، وفقًا لأحكام الكود الدولي لمكافحة المنشطات والمعايير الدولية ذات الصلة.

وتأتي هذه المشاركة تأكيدًا على الاتزام بتعزيز النزاهة والشفافية والرياضة النظيفة، ودعم جهود مكافحة المنشطات على المستوى الدولي

السكري لا يمنعك من ممارسة الرياضة… الوعي هو المفتاح!

ندعوكم للمشاركة في فعاليات DIA Egypt Congress 2026، والاستفادة من جلساته التوعوية حول مرض السكري، والتغذية الصحية، والنشاط البدني، وكيفية التعايش مع المرض بصورة صحية وآمنة.

وفي إطار اهتمامنا بالرياضة النظيفة، نوجه رسالة مهمة لكل رياضي مصاب بالسكري من النوع الأول:

💉 الإنسولين جزء أساسي من علاج السكري من النوع الأول، وهو مدرج ضمن قائمة المواد المحظورة وفق قواعد مكافحة المنشطات، ومحظور داخل وخارج المنافسات.

ولكن هذا لا يعني إطلاقًا أن الرياضي المصاب بالسكري من النوع الأول لا يستطيع ممارسة الرياضة أو المشاركة في المنافسات. على العكس، يمكن للرياضة أن تكون جزءًا مهمًا من نمط الحياة الصحي.

المهم أن يكون الرياضي على دراية بحالته الصحية وبالقواعد والإجراءات الخاصة بالعلاج، وأن يعرف متى وكيف يحتاج إلى الإعفاء للاستخدام العلاجي (TUE)، حتى يتمكن من ممارسة رياضته بشكل قانوني وآمن، ويتجنب أي مخالفة غير مقصودة لقواعد مكافحة المنشطات.

Egypt Hosts the 2026 Annual RADO Zone V Meeting

Egypt, represented by the Egyptian National Anti-Doping Organization (EGY-NADO), was honored to host the 2026 Africa RADO Zone V MCR Meeting in Cairo from 16 to 18 September 2026.

The meeting brought together representatives of the RADO Zone V member countries and provided a valuable platform for constructive and fruitful discussions, the exchange of experiences and best practices, and the development of ideas and initiatives aimed at further strengthening anti-doping efforts across Africa.

EGY-NADO extends its sincere appreciation to all participants for their valuable contributions and constructive engagement. We also express our gratitude to WADA, the WADA Africa Regional Office, RADO Zone V, Ministry of Youth and Sports and all member countries for their continued support, cooperation, and commitment to advancing anti-doping efforts across the continent.

The meeting reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening collaboration, building sustainable anti-doping systems, and promoting clean sport across Africa.
