EACD is a non-governmental organization, founded in 1995, registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs. Registration number: 307 /1995 Throughout its activities, EACD aims to enhance the skills and capabilities of members of society throughout Egypt, and especially the underprivileged neighborhoods in unplanned and rural areas. EACD believes that the emerging competence of individuals and societ
y with regard to their abilities is the principle foundation for lasting development, which is affected through the mutual collaboration of NGOs, governmental bodies, the Private Sector and innumerable local resources in deprived areas. VISION EACD aims to promote the skills of individuals and societies living in deprived, unplanned areas and to establish a dynamic core for comprehensive development. The association uses expertise and experience to change the lives of needy people in rural and urban areas where infrastructure is scarce and economic status is precarious. . OBJECTIVES
1- To generate policies and strategies that boost the skills of society members in various domains, such as health, education, environment and micro-economy development. EACD is primarily concerned with addressing the needs of women, children and youth.
2- To design and execute development programs that will improve living conditions in rural and unplanned areas with poor or negligible infrastructure.
3- To initiate mutual cooperation between CDAs, NGOs, governmental bodies and the private sector, using dialogue and joint efforts to establish permanent societal development.
4- To build and expand tools, development methods and activities for local CDAs, in support of their structural capabilities, thereby laying groundwork for their lasting role in development. By investing in their skills and capabilities, EACD effectively boosts the entire development process, vastly expanding its investment in local community resources. In all of its programs, the Association grants a distinctive place to women, thereby advancing their opportunities to express themselves and to represent their societies.
• CHILDREN Children are a major concern for EACD and are addressed throughout its programs, including activities such as children’s clubs, education through art, mother’s clubs and nutrition classes. Children represent the next generation and hope for a better future; by caring for them we take care of the future and help direct a positive societal destiny. EACD aims to geographically expand its activities for children.
• YOUTH EACD is one of few associations in Egypt concerned with youth volunteers. Knowing that youth represent around 50% of the Egyptian population and that they contribute great energy and abilities to Egypt’s global development, EACD has dedicated an entire department to them. EACD utilizes these abilities in several activities, such as international camps, conferences, social and cultural meetings, an international exchange program, meetings for developing projects and focused youth development

منظمة أهلية مشهرة بوزارة التضامن الاجتماعي ( تحت رقم 307 لسنة 1995 ) تسعى الجمعية في جميع مجالات عملها، إلي تنمية قدرات وإمكانيات أفراد المجتمع في جميع أنحاء مصر، وخاصة في المناطق المحرومة والأكثر احتياجا( المناطق العشوائية – المناطق الريفية).
تؤمن الجمعية أن بناء قدرات الأفراد والمنظمات في هذه المناطق هو الركيزة الفعالة لضمان استمرارية الجهود التنموية من خلال التعاون المشترك بين الهيئات والمنظمات الحكومية ،وغير الحكومية، والقطاع الخاص ، وتوظيف الإمكانات المحلية بأقصى استفادة ممكنة لتنمية هذه المناطق المحرومة ولتلبية احتياجاتها .
وتعطي الجمعية اهتماماً خاصا للمرأة والطفل والشباب من خلال برامج تنموية في مجالات: البيئة ، الصحة ، التعليم ، والتنمية الاقتصادية، في تكامل وترابط بين مكونات هذه البرامج .
