Big news for Bandhab! 🎉

We are proud to share that Bandhab has secured funding for TWO projects in Bangladesh, with a combined funding of nearly 1 million DKK, funded by CISU – Civil Society in Development.

✨ One project will work to reduce child marriage by empowering adolescent girls, building community awareness, and strengthening local civil society.

🌱 The second project focuses on climate resilience and SRHR, supporting young girls with education, health access, and even launching girl-led social enterprises.

Together, these initiatives will reach thousands of young girls and adolescents, amplify girls’ voices, and strengthen communities to stand against inequality and climate challenges.

Its a big step Bandhab’s journey. ❤️

As Bangladesh prepares for its national election tomorrow, we at Bandhab extend our warm wishes to the people of Bangladesh.

We hope this moment strengthens democratic values, protects civic space, and ensures that women, youth, and marginalized communities are heard. Bandhab stands for empowerment, solidarity, and active citizenship, and we believe every voice matters.

Bangladeshis will cast ballots Thursday in a crucial national election, the first since a mass uprising ended former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 15-year rule.

A child marriage free society should never be a wish or a dream. It is every childs right and Bandhab together with the children is claiming that right in Bangladesh.
In this GirlPower activity the girls shared messages of courage, leadership, and their own commitments to protect one another.
They are not waiting for change. They are becoming the change.

But at MK Secondary School in Jhenaidah, they’re writing who they truly are — brave, confident, kind, unstoppable.

Child marriage still forces many girls to give up their education and their dreams.

Activities like this help them build confidence, understand their rights, and choose their own future.

More than 51 percent of girls in Bangladesh become victims of child marriage. This is not just a statistic it is a generation losing its childhood too early.

To fight this reality, SAVE, in partnership with Bandhab (Denmark), has organized Capacity Building Training for members of the Adolescent Girls' Clubs under the Girl Power initiative.

Together we are helping girls build confidence know their rights and raise their voices against child marriage.

Happy Bengali New Year & Glad Påske (Happy easter) to all our friends!

This week, we celebrate two beautiful traditions from two different corners of the world — Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year) from Bangladesh and Easter from Denmark. One brings the rhythm of dhol (drums), vibrant masks, and mango blossoms. The other brings pastel eggs, blooming tulips, and the joy of rebirth.
