We foster profound and lasting connections, nurture wellbeing, and enable peer-learning and meaningful collaborations. We envision a world where changemakers collectively create, sustain and scale positive change for people and planet.

Please join us in welcoming the first cohort of Changemakers for Equality from Asia to the ChangemakerXchange community!

These changemakers are tackling inequality through tangible, community-centred solutions. They recently completed the programme, including a 5-day summit in Malaysia designed to forge deep connections, foster wellbeing, and sow the seeds for meaningful collaboration.

Now, as part of the global community, they will receive lifelong access to resources and regular opportunities to connect, learn, and co-create with social innovators across the world.

Meet our community member, Blandine Umuziranenge, the Founder and CEO of Kosmotive.

Kosmotive is an impact-driven social enterprise based in Rwanda that manufactures KosmoPads (reusable sanitary pads) to champion menstrual equity and improve reproductive health.

Blandine’s initiative recently earned the ISO 9001:2015 certification, and she was recently recognised as one of the Top 100 Africa Business Heroes and received a Sustainability Trailblazer Award.

In this interview, she opens up about:

- What inspired her to launch Kosmotive
- Her journey in overcoming barriers to menstrual health in Rwanda
- How the ISO certification has strengthened their commitment to operational excellence
- The inspiration behind KosmoHealth, their upcoming AI-powered menstrual health education platform and

Across Asia, young changemakers are proving that equality isn't achieved through a single solution. It is built through locally-led action, collaboration, and a commitment to transforming the systems that hold communities back.

We're excited to introduce the Changemakers for Equality Asia 2026 cohort!

Supported by Julius Baer Foundation, this cohort brings together young social entrepreneurs who are creating practical, community-centred solutions to the structural drivers of inequality. Working across education, economic inclusion, and community infrastructure, they are helping build more equal futures across Asia.

- Ghizlane Akourim is an international trainer, facilitator, and project management consultant passionate about empowering young people to become leaders and changemakers. With experience designing and delivering programs across Africa, Europe and beyond, she specializes in leadership development, entrepreneurship, climate action, and youth engagement.

- Zubair Junjunia is an award-winning social entrepreneur who founded ZNotes in Jeddah at the age of 16, an online learning platform promoting global educational equity. ZNotes has impacted 7 million students across 190+ countries, offering high-quality resources and peer support for secondary school exams.

- Jocelyn Gee is a writer and strategist turning complex issues like climate, public health, and economic justice into stories that inspire action. Jocelyn also helped build Green Jobs Board into a resource for 100,000+ people seeking pathways into climate work.

- Darlington Okeh Chaparadza is the Advocacy and Gender Director at Zimbabwe Care Leavers Network (ZiCLAN), championing the rights and empowerment of young people transitioning from alternative care.

- César González Fernández is the founder of Clean Something For Nothing, a Luxembourg-based social impact initiative that has mobilised people in 84 countries to remove more than 925,000 kg of litter.

“The elders hold the wisdom, and the youth bring the strategy”.

In this final chapter, Steve and Francielly show how intergenerational collaboration is a powerful tool that gives the Mkupe community a stronger sense of purpose. This clip is a strong call to value knowledge passed down through generations as much as any textbook or scientific article.
