🎬 We’re excited to share a few behind-the-scenes impressions from a new production by our partner ATCNA! Filming took place in December 2025 and January 2026, and the project has now moved into the editing phase. This marks the first series produced as part of a Weltfilme project, and we can’t wait to see how it all comes together! 👀🤩

We are proud to share that last month, Weltfilme had the opportunity to present on the development and synergies of Film Network West Africa. Our founder, Alexander Pfeuffer, was joined by Samuel Asamoah from YMCA Ghana. 🌍🎬
The network brings together 32 organisations working collectively to strengthen independent media in developing and transitioning countries. This year’s agenda focused on strategies to support a healthy information environment—addressing challenges such as politicized funding and the influence of Big Tech, while emphasizing the power of advocacy coalitions, media viability, journalists’ rights, and the real impact of media development and humanitarian communication.

Happy New Year!
As we look back on an incredible 2025, we are filled with gratitude for so many beautiful moments within the Weltfilme community! Our team had the joy of connecting with filmmakers in Ghana, as well as welcoming a few in Berlin. We were thrilled to see the DFSA (Digital Film School Africa) reach a new record number of applications!
We’re excited for the year ahead and look forward to continuing our journey together—strengthening our community and creating even more opportunities to connect, collaborate, and celebrate film.
Thank you to everyone who follows and supports Weltfilme, along with our partners and filmmakers! Here’s to a wonderful year ahead! 🎉✨

✨ Only 13 days left until Christmas and 20 days left until the New Year. As the year draws to an end, we look back on many memorable moments! 🎄🌟

At WELTFILME, the heart of our organisation — and of filmmaking itself — lies in the people behind the camera. This year, we had the joy of interviewing some of our filmmakers and sharing their stories in our Spotlight Series. Hearing about their unique experiences, inspirations, and dreams has been truly inspiring.
We’re excited to continue strengthening our bond with our wonderful filmmakers in the coming year! 🎥🤝🥰

Dear WELTFILME community, we’d love to hear from you:
Are there any questions you’d like us to ask our filmmakers?
Any insights or topics you’d be curious to explore in the next Spotlight Series?

Only 22 days left until Christmas and 29 days left until the New Year. As the year draws to an end, we look back on many memorable moments! 🎄🌟
One highlight was this year’s official commencement of Digital Film School Africa in Ghana, where team members of the Weltfilme Berlin team members had the opportunity to join this special event. We were delighted to attend, meet colleagues from AUCB Africa and Ghana YMCA, and celebrate the beginning of the new school year.
We look forward to building many more connections and strengthening engagement within the filmmaking community in the upcoming year! 🎉
