🔴 SIGN THE PETITION AND ASK ALDI TO DO THE SAME — LINK IN BIO

Asda has today announced it will ban the controversial practices of eyestalk ablation (cutting off female prawns’ eyes) by 2027 and end the controversial ice-slurry stunning method in favor of electrical stunning by 2028.

The announcement follows similar commitments by Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer, Ocado, Waitrose, Co-op, Morrisons and most recently Iceland. Ocado recently reported having already completed the transition. This reflects a rapid shift in UK grocery towards recognising prawn welfare as part of responsible sourcing over the past two years.

Every major supermarket is now committed - except German-owned discounters Aldi and Lidl.

Prawns sold by can still come from farms where mother prawns have their eyes cut off while fully conscious — and are left to suffocate or freeze in ice slurry without proper stunning.

Aldi has been shown the evidence.
They acknowledge the cruelty.
And they still allow it to continue.

Other supermarkets across Europe have banned these methods.
Aldi has not.

When companies won’t act, customers do.

Tell Aldi to stop this cruelty.

Hold them to their promises.
End this abuse.

🚨Chickens across Multiple Countries Face Abuse in Ahold Delhaize’s Supply Chain

Recently obtained footage from supply chain across Portugal, Romania, and Serbia reveals systemic animal cruelty.

The video shows the extreme cruelty these birds are subjected to:
🔴 Premature deaths of egg-laying hens and broiler chickens
🔴 Facilities infested with mites
🔴 Birds facing severe injuries and prolapses
🔴 Decomposing bodies littered across cages and piled in and out of farms
🔴 Animals covered in dirt and excrement

This cruelty is a widespread, reoccurring issue for Ahold Delhaize, plaguing its supply chain. The systemic abuse arises from a company approach that puts financial greed above the safety and health of animals.

Ahold Delhaize USA has already undermined its own credibility by abandoning a long-standing commitment to animal welfare, delaying its transition away from caged eggs by seven years with no transparent or realistic roadmap for completion.

🚨‼️ Unseen Cruelty to Egg-laying Quail in Ahold Delhaize Supply Chain

Recently obtained footage reveals the grim conditions endured by egg-laying quail exploited for egg production under an Ahold Delhaize European banner.

The video shows the real experience of quail in Ahold Delhaize’s supply chain:
🔴 Sick, plucked birds crammed together in overcrowded cages
🔴 Forced to live in a dirty environment full of cobwebs, blood, debris, and f***s
🔴 Decomposing bodies littered across their cages
🔴 Workers discarding excrement and carcasses onto manure belts where they walk

This cruelty is not accidental; it is the outcome of a system that puts financial gain ahead of the lives and wellbeing of animals.

has already walked back its most established animal welfare promise by pushing its cage-free egg commitment back seven years, without offering a clear or credible plan for how that promise will ever be fulfilled. When company leadership cannot be trusted to uphold even its most fundamental welfare obligations, it raises serious doubts about the treatment of animals throughout the entire supply chain.

Ahold Delhaize must be held accountable. The company needs to confront this harm, end these practices, and take concrete, measurable action to protect animals from continued abuse.
