📌 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR HOLDERS OF A “NEPILSONA PASE”

If you fall into the category of foreigners from Latvia and hold a so-called “nepilsona pase” (Latvian non-citizen passport), the residence rules applicable to EU citizens do not apply to you.

❗ This means that before arriving in the Czech Republic 🇨🇿, you must first obtain the appropriate residence permit approved at a Czech embassy or consulate abroad 🏛️.

A Departure Order is issued by the Czech Police 👮‍♂️ or the Ministry of the Interior (OAMP) 🏛️ after the termination of a residence permit or in other cases defined by law.

Its purpose is to allow a foreign national enough time to leave the territory of the Czech Republic or resolve their residence situation legally.

⏳ A Departure Order can be issued with a validity of up to 30 days maximum.

❗ A Departure Order may be extended up to 3 times, and only after an individual assessment at the relevant Foreign Police Department.

📄 We recommend arranging any extension in advance and always checking the current conditions directly with the competent office according to your place of residence.

What is a "Výjezdní příkaz"?

In english, you would say "Departure Order"

It is an official document issued to foreigners in the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 allowing them to stay in the country for the necessary time to settle urgent matters and leave the territory legally.

It can be issued by:

👮‍♂️ The Foreign Police
– after the cancellation or expiration of a short-term visa

🏛️ The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic
– after the cancellation or expiration of a long-term visa, long-term residence permit, or permanent residence permit

📄 The document is issued in the form of a sticker placed into the travel document by the Foreign Police or the Ministry of the Interior.

If your children are planning to travel abroad as part of a school trip or school event, there is no need to apply for a special type of residence permit for travel to another country.

🏫 The school is responsible for carrying the list of students during the trip and having it available throughout the journey.

🤝 Mediation – what is it?

Mediation is an out-of-court way of resolving disputes, where a neutral person (mediator) helps both parties reach an agreement.

👤 Mediator:
• is impartial
• does not decide the outcome, only helps with communication

⚖️ When is it used:
• family disputes (e.g. divorce, children)
• neighbour or workplace conflicts
• property disputes

✅ Advantages:
• faster than court proceedings
• voluntary and confidential

💡 The outcome is agreed by the parties themselves, not by a court.

🌍 Leaving Czech health insurance (VZP) – basics

✈️ You can apply only if:
• You stay abroad 6+ months (non-stop)
• You have insurance abroad the whole time
• You submit a declaration to VZP in advance ❗ (not retroactively)

📌 What it means:
• You don’t pay insurance in CZ
• You’re NOT covered by Czech healthcare
• You must return your insurance card

🔁 After return:
• You must re-register with VZP
• Payments & coverage start again from that date

⚠️ If conditions aren’t met:
• You’ll have to pay insurance back retroactively

📄 Don’t forget:
• You’ll need proof of insurance abroad after returning

Did you know you can get part of your money back for an annual non-transferable public transport pass? 🚋

👉 If you pay the municipal waste fee in Brno (900 CZK per year), you may be eligible for a contribution of 1,425 CZK for an annual non-transferable pass (zones 100 + 101)

❗️ Conditions:
🔸 The pass must be purchased electronically (Brno iD)
🔸 You must apply for the contribution within 60 days of purchase
🔸 The municipal waste fee must be paid

💡 Applications are submitted online at www.brnoid.cz, and the money will be sent to your bank account

⚠️ Important information regarding HUD applications

Recently, an error message “person is not a holder of temporary protection” has been appearing more frequently for applicants requesting HUD.

👉 In most cases, this concerns people who have registered online to extend their temporary protection but do not yet have the visa sticker in their passport.

✅ What to do:
To prove the extension of temporary protection at the Labour Office, it is sufficient to provide the PDF confirmation from the ipc.gov.cz portal, which can be downloaded from your personal account.

❗️ It is not necessary to provide a confirmation from KACPU for 50 CZK.
