YAPCEC took part in the National Forum on Girls' Rights, held at the Palais des Sports in Yaounde on November 28, 2025 organised by UNICEF
The theme, 'My voice matters, my future too,' echoed deeply with the approximately 1,500 girls and stakeholders in attendance. We gathered during this maiden edition to address pressing issues affecting girls in Cameroon, including unequal access to education, early marriage, gender-based violence, and limited participation in decision-making bodies.
This forum provided a platform for girls to share their ideas, talents, and aspirations and for stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue.
The key point of the event was the official presentation of the national agenda on girls' rights, led by girls themselves and aligned with national and international frameworks.
Stakeholders made concrete commitments to improve the situation of girls and promote their rights.

12th October 2025

My dear fellow Cameroonians home and abroad, young and old, able and disabled please I wish to solict your massive participation in today's unique event as your own way of showing your active engagement in fulfilling your Civic Duty as a citizen of Cameroon.

Despite the mirage of limitations and challenges we face especially as a people especially the youths across different sectors we must remain resilient, resolute and optimistic for change through collective efforts and commitment to nation building.
I urge us to go and perform our duty with courage, hope and conviction for change in the social-economic and political transformation of our governance and development policies that will move from theory to action, from words to practice.

Cameroon needs more to be done to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of it citizens as compare to other nations while involving and prioritising, recognising and working with it dynamic young people in fostering governance and development projects to fruitfulness.

My dear fellow Cameroonians don't vote because you are hungry but vote because you and future generations need enabling environment for growth, prosperity, peace and security to enjoy sustainable collaboration and support across different sectors and with different stakeholders towards community and nation building.

My dear Cameroonian no one should decide your choice of candidate to vote for but rather vote for the future you desire, deserve and need to make exploit locally and globally.
Vote the candidate you believe can listen and accompany the people to a place of trust, opportunities and service through the different ministerial departments.

My dear fellow Cameroonians home and abroad please don't vote because of personal interest and family interest but rather vote for community and national interest to see hope and collaboration, to see joy and laughter and above all see development and transformation that you and others deserve.

Vote your conscience and be proud of your contribution to make our nation Cameroon a better, brighter and admirable nation in the world.

Long live all the active voters today home and abroad
Long live the good people of Cameroon
Long live our motherland Cameroon.

May God bless and protect us all as we execute our Civic Duty today .
