Cycles of Life

Cycles of Life Cycles of Life aims to provide a safe, educational and stable living environment for those in need. Being a public restaurant, anyone can dine their.

We are working towards opening a shelter for the homeless, and those at risk of becoming homeless. The shelter will include:

An area for those who just need a bed for a short time and an interior space for them to be safe from inclement weather. It will also include a multistage supportive housing complex. This program will be entered by the choice of the individual, with the knowledge that we w

ill work with them to have a stable location to live, connect them with the services they need, and to change the behaviours that keep them in cycle of homelessness. As they progress through the program we will help them to become work ready. As they exit the program we will help them find suitable, long term housing. We will also have space available for community partners to come and work with the members of Cycles of Life at the facility, or make it feasible for the members to get to other locations for appointments. Another aspect of the facility will be a 24/6 integrated public restaurant. Members will have the choice to go to the restaurant for their meals, instead of eating in the dinning area of the shelter. Everyone will pay at the cash register. This way whether some one is earning $80,000 a year or needing assistance to find their daily meals, NO ONE is centered out. The kitchen and restaurant will be potential job training sites, and employment for the members of Cycles of Life and will allow us to help teach food handling and cooking. As well as being a potential funding source for the facility. Our first location will be in Woodstock, and will grow to other communities in Oxford County as funds and demand require.
