"๐๐ท๐ ๐๐ท๐พ๐๐ป๐ณ ๐ธ ๐๐ฐ๐ป๐บ ๐พ๐ฝ ๐พ๐ฒ๐๐พ๐ฑ๐ด๐ ๐น๐๐ณ?"
Thereโs an old saying: โYou canโt truly understand another personโs experience until youโve walked a mile in their shoes.โ
When you take part in Walk a Mile, every step makes a difference.
You walk to raise awareness about gender-based violence and help bring an often hidden issue into the open.
You walk to stand in solidarity with survivors and remind them that they are not alone.
You walk to help fund essential services for women and children impacted by violence including counselling, therapeutic play, prevention programs, wellness spaces, and community support.
On October 3, Sanctuary House invites people throughout the River Valley to step into a pair of red heels and walk in solidarity with women and children affected by gender-based violence. The heels may capture attention, but the message is serious: ending violence takes all of us.
Join us as we listen, learn, raise awareness, and take a stand for safer communities. Register, collect pledges, and walk with usโbecause no one should have to walk through violence alone.
