October is Children's Vision Month! Comprehensive eye exams are essential for early detection and supporting kids’ success at every stage.

In Ontario, OHIP covers eye exams for children and youth 19 and under. Find an optometrist near you at https://na3.hubs.ly/y0B0WK0

Children don’t always know when something has changed with their vision. They may simply assume what they’re seeing is normal.

Regular eye exams allow an optometrist to check how a child’s eyes and vision are developing and identify changes that might otherwise go unnoticed.

In Ontario, eye exams are covered by OHIP for children and youth 19 and under.

This Children’s Vision Month, make an eye exam part of your child’s routine health care.

This Wednesday, October 21st, we're opening our garden gate at 9 AM (one hour early!) for Take Me Outside Day—Canada's national celebration of outdoor learning. 🌼🌱

Learn how to plant bulbs for spring, explore the natural world in our backyard, and get moving with exciting games and activities that make learning feel like play. We can't wait to play outside with you and your little ones!

Join us at the Riverside Public Library this Saturday for a Community Health Fair for Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) citizens! This will be a great opportunity to connect with the community and learn more about health and wellness resources available to families in Windsor-Essex.

Over the summer, we were lucky to receive not one, but two story box donations for our Blind-Low Vision Early Intervention program!

A big thank you to the Pre-Optometry Club and Crafting for a Cure at the University of Windsor, as well as the Early Childhood Education students from St. Clair College, for their generosity.

Story boxes use real objects and sensory items to help children who are blind or have low vision experience books through touch and exploration. These resources will make stories more accessible to young learners.
