🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – September 30 🧡

Today, we pause to remember and honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors, their families, and communities.

Truth and Reconciliation is about listening, learning, remembering, and taking meaningful steps toward understanding the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools and colonization.

As a Family Resource Network, we recognize the importance of creating safe, welcoming spaces where children, youth, families, and communities feel heard, respected, valued, and connected.

Today and every day, we encourage families to take time to:
🧡 Learn about the history of residential schools
🧡 Listen to Indigenous voices and stories
🧡 Talk with children in age-appropriate ways about truth and reconciliation
🧡 Support local Indigenous communities and initiatives
🧡 Reflect on how we can contribute to a future built on respect, understanding, and meaningful relationships
