๐ Meet your 2026 organizers โ community members who care deeply about the Humber River and bring their energy and ๐ค to every event!
๐Lamin joined HRP in 2024 as a volunteer organizer, leading waste reduction and clean-ups that helped earn a City of Toronto Community Champion Award. He loves soccer and hikes.
๐ฅฎDiana has been part of HRP since 2021, first as a volunteer and now as an organizer. She loves seeing neighbours come together for clean-ups. Outside of HRP, she enjoys travelling and exploring bakeries. The river gives her calm and space to breathe.
๐ฑEric has volunteered with HRP since 2021 and loves watching the community grow. An urbanist, cyclist, vegan home cook. The river gives him peace, and caring for it is his way of giving back.
๐โโฌBrian joined the HRP organizing team in 2025 after years attending clean-ups since the beginning. He values HRP as a meaningful third space to connect with others. He enjoys reading, biking, swimming, games, and cats. The river helps him reset when life feels overwhelming.
๐ฒ Salina is a Sociologist and Research Consultant who grew up by the Humber. She joined HRP after moving to Weston and now helps organize. She reflects on climate justice while cleaning the river with friends and appreciates advocates who helped make cycling safer across the city.
๐ ๏ธJup is a natural building enthusiast and Building Science educator. He joined HRP in 2024 and values its strong community roots. A longtime cyclist, experimental baker, and food-waste reducer, he cares about the Humber because cleaner rivers mean cleaner Lake Ontario drinking water.
๐จ๐ฝโ๐จAlex is a co-founder of HRP who believes caring for the river means caring for ourselves, our communities, and the natural world we depend on. Protecting the Humber is about shared responsibility and remembering that human and environmental wellbeing are connected.
๐Ikinori is a co-founder of HRP who feels most at home outdoors. An all around nature lover, sheโs passionate about forest therapy, cycling and crafting. The river is sacred to her.
