West Kelowna Rotarians are community-minded individuals taking an active role in West Kelowna. Formed in April 2009, we are a unique Rotary Club: we are primarily working professionals, our club’s average age under 50 makes us younger than most local service clubs, and a third of our membership is female. Whether you are a business professional, retiree or citizen who wants to make a difference, y

Today, our Rotary Club had the pleasure of welcoming Roey, founder of the Mount Boucherie Secondary School Social Justice Club (SJ Club), who joined our meeting to share an overview of the club’s inspiring work and provide updates on their important community initiatives and fundraisers that foster compassion, care, and community connection.

In particular, Roey spoke about the SJ Club’s most recent initiative - Hygiene Drive — which was generously supported by donations of hygiene products from our Rotary Club members and staff at the City of West Kelowna

Roey explained that access to hygiene products is a basic human right and plays an essential role in reducing health-related risks while preserving human dignity.

Our Club was truly impressed by the passion and conviction with which Roey spoke. In a world that can sometimes feel troubling, Roey reminded us that there is great hope in the next generation. It was inspiring to see how engaged and committed our youth are in addressing real community challenges and making a meaningful difference.

Last week, we had the pleasure of hearing from Sarah Kendrick from Peachland Wellness Centre, an organization dedicated to supporting health, wellness, and community connection in the Peachland area through programs, services, and outreach initiatives that help people thrive.

Today, members of the West Kelowna Rotary Club were proud to be part of the Mount Boucherie Secondary School Mental Health Walk, supporting awareness, connection, and the importance of mental wellness for young people in our community.

We are always inspired by youth-led initiatives that create safe spaces, encourage open conversation, and remind people that mental health matters.

A huge thank you to our Rotarians who volunteered their time and proudly represented our club today.

Community is built when we show up for one another — and Rotary will always be proud to support initiatives that strengthen the well-being of our community.

Rotary Day of Service! We gathered to clean up our beautiful Rotary Trails Park that was built back in 1987! And thanks to City of West Kelowna and the local Sparks Club we had very little clean up to do!! They were on it! So we continued on and had a great morning of connection and a walk around Gellatly Bay! Beautiful day to enjoy our community - thanks everyone for all you do to pick up rubbish you see in your daily walks - every piece counts 🙏😍

Taste of India this year was such a success and a night of fun and generosity! This couldn’t have happen without each Rotarians support! Heres a little fun behind the sense during the set up! We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
