Township of Warwick Zoning By-law Review

The Township of Warwick is undertaking a review of its Comprehensive Zoning By-law to bring it into conformity with the Township’s approved Official Plan.

A draft of the proposed revised Zoning By-law is now available for public review.

September 8, 2026 | 2:00–4:00 p.m.

The Open House will provide an opportunity to review the proposed Zoning By-law, ask questions, and provide comments.

A Public Meeting will also be held on September 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

Planned Water System Work - September 2 & 3

Township of Warwick residents are advised that planned maintenance on the Lambton Area Water Supply System (LAWSS) transmission network will take place Wednesday, September 2 through Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Work will begin: 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2
Expected completion: 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3

During this time, residents are asked to avoid unnecessary water use during this period.

Please consider postponing non-essential water use, such as:
• Watering lawns and gardens
• Washing vehicles
• Washing laundry
• Other activities that use large amounts of water

Please continue to use water for essential household needs.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation while this important infrastructure work is completed. A further update will be provided once the work is complete.

Good news, Watford!

The intersection of Nauvoo Road and Confederation Line is now OPEN to all traffic following the completion of underground servicing and major reconstruction work.

While crews continue working to complete and commission the new traffic signals, drivers can once again travel through the intersection. For now, traffic will operate as it did before construction, with free-flow traffic on Nauvoo Road and stop controls on Confederation Line.

Thank you for your patience throughout this important infrastructure project. Please continue to travel through the area with attentiveness until all work is complete.

The Community Stage underwent several structural upgrades this season, along with a new graphic wrap on the backside of the stage, thanks to our ongoing partnership with the Alvinston and District Optimist Club , Alvinston Pro Rodeo and the Watford Optimist Club.

The new wrap highlights photos from some of Watford & Alvinston’s biggest community events, giving the back of the stage a fresh new look while celebrating the communities it serves.

We’re grateful for these ongoing partnerships and are happy that the stage can continue to be enjoyed and utilized at events in both of our communities!

Due to the rain, today’s Decoration Day service will be held indoors at the East Lambton Community Complex (ELCC).

This will be one combined service for both Watford and Warwick Cemeteries.
