✨ Speaker Spotlight: Meet Kennedy & Derek Bruno ✨

We are thrilled to introduce our featured speakers for the upcoming Community Connect & Learn Regional Conference for Non-Profit Growth!

Kennedy Bruno: A member of the Samson Cree Nation and Grade 10 student at Wetaskiwin Composite High School, Kennedy is a young entrepreneur and community advocate. Through her business, Shirts and Quirks, she uses her passion for art to raise awareness for important causes—including residential schools and MMWG2+—while giving back to organizations like the Ermineskin Women’s Shelter.

Derek M. Bruno: Former two-term Councillor for Samson Cree Nation and Founder & Managing Partner of SevGen Consulting, Derek leads visionary initiatives bridging Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities—including FCM’s First Nations-Municipal Community Economic Development Initiative (CEDI). His strengths-based approach inspires municipalities along their Indigenous relations journey.
