We are excited to announce our fundraiser will be running again this year! It was a close call but we were able to secure the same location as last year at Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre.

We have suffered some great loss this year and our youth are counting on the outstanding community support you all have show us.

We thank you all and are proud to be able to bring such a fun and spooky experience to the valley again this season!

Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦

Today we celebrate the country we call home, the communities that bring us together, and the spirit of adventure that keeps us learning, growing, and serving.

From campfires and trails to teamwork, friendship, and community service, Scouting reminds us that Canada is stronger when we show up for each other.

I don't even know how to write this.

On the way home from scout camp this past weekend, the truck Scott was driving caught fire on the highway. He got out with seconds to spare. Seconds.

Everything in the truck was lost. The scouts entire archery program, banners, games, food, and a long list of gear that makes our camps possible. The trailer survived but took electrical and physical damage, and some of what was inside melted in the heat. Scott lost his phone, wallet, keys and much personal items too.

For those who do not know, Scott and I run 1st Valley BPSA Scouting Group as volunteers and he has poured 7 years and his own money into keeping it alive for local kids. The truck was his late grandfather's, which makes this one sting more than I can put into words.

We've started a GoFundMe to rebuild the gear so the program can keep going. Anything beyond that helps Scott's recovery, who would never ask for it himself.
