It is with the heaviest of hearts that our Heart of Ruth family announces the passing of baby Arianna Rebecca. The sweetest girl was born on March 24th at 12:45pm, weighing 3kg. Parents are David Safari and Janet David. Due to medical complications, she passed away yesterday while in hospital awaiting surgery.

I've set up a GoFundMe for Safari and his family as they are still responsible for paying their babys medical expenses, and now a funeral. Anyone who has ever volunteered with HoRM knows Safari. He is a bright young man, eager to start his family with his beautiful new wife. Now they are grieving the loss of their precious baby girl, Arianna Rebecca David.

✨️ A HUGE Congratulations to one of our Star Students! ✨️

We're overflowing with pride for one of our incredible Heart of Ruth Mission students who has triumphed over every challenge to complete her Occupational Therapy College Program!

Growing up at an orphanage in Kenya, her journey has been one of unwavering resilience and determination- proving that with support and faith, dreams can truly become reality.

She finished strong, and is ready to graduate in December. This is what our Education Sponsorship Program is all about: fueling the hard work and determination of students like Anita, transforming lives one tenacious heart at a time- as Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Thank you for being a part of our lives in 2025 ❤️ this year we will see 3 of our post secondary students graduate from their programs. All possible because of your incredible support. Nashukuru sana! ✨️

As we reflect on 2025, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to the volunteers, donors, and supporters who stood with Devxchange this year.

Because of you, communities around the world were able to strengthen access to education, improve food security and livelihoods, protect and restore their local environments, improve health outcomes, and access safe, reliable water — the building blocks of long-term community well-being.

We’re stepping into 2026 with gratitude, momentum, and a continued commitment to community-led change. Thank you for being part of this work.

Education sponsors ✨️ Don't forget to submit your 2025 donations before the end of the year- so you receive your tax receipt for 2025. Gifted donations over $20 are eligible for a Canadian or American tax receipt. Joel says "asante" for the diapers! We were able to provide 3 families with 2 packs of diapers and a gift each ❤️ Three of our former students have their own families now. This year with our Christmas Dinner we were able to raise a little extra to provide some baby necessities for Joel (Rama), Melissa (Jackie) and Leina (Mary). Thank you very much to everyone who donated towards our Christmas Dinner in Kenya 🇰🇪🎄✨️ •

Once again the students were able to gather together at our Lead Volunteers house, Baraka, and enjoy a delicious Christmas feast! So many of the students who grew up at Rainbow House Children's Home were able to celebrate again. Thanks to many generous people who donate towards this dinner year after year. We couldn't do it without you!

We truly are a hands on, loving organization- separated only by continents. These are not random kids we get pictures of. These are students and their families that we know personally and have been supporting for the last 13 years ❤️ thank you for trusting in us to support these kids in the best way we know how- education and community feasts!

So far we've raised $350 towards the Christmas Dinner in Kenya. Thats amazing! Our goal is $500 and Christmas is only a few days away 🎄 Christmas is a time all the students and their families look forward to- for a feast with family! Does anyone else want to donate towards dinner and/or donations like diapers, wipes, toys, etc for Christmas? 🎁🍼
