This summer we also had the honour of speaking with Cathie, Charlie’s daughter, who reflected on the special memories they shared as a family at Fort Edmonton Park 🤍 From time spent exploring and working in the Park together to watching her dad bring history to life, those moments have become treasured family memories.

Cathie shared how meaningful it is to see the Fort Edmonton Foundation continuing to expand the Park and invest in special restoration projects — ensuring that families today and for generations to come can create memories just like theirs.

This past summer, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Charlie, a former costumed interpreter at Fort Edmonton Park, as he reflected on his time working in the carpenter shop and the many special moments that shaped his experience. He shared heartfelt stories about the incredible memories he made not only at the Park, but with his family along the way — memories that continue to hold a special place in his heart.

Charlie also spoke about the important role the Fort Edmonton Foundation plays in preserving these stories, supporting restoration efforts, and ensuring future generations can create meaningful memories of their own at Fort Edmonton Park.
