Happy Thanksgiving to our wonderful MHI family.

Did you know the Canadian tradition is older than American Thanksgiving? Of course, thanksgivings on Turtle Island predate European customs, as First Nations held ceremonies of thankfulness for surviving winter and for successful harvests.

A great day at Odenak! 🏗️ It was a pleasure to welcome the City of Ottawa’s Housing and Homelessness Services team for a tour and an opportunity to see the progress firsthand.

Thank you to Director Kale Brown, Program Manager Jason Cooke and Program Administrator Allison Hockin for joining us and for the City of Ottawa’s continued partnership in advancing affordable housing.

Odenak represents multiple organizations and partnerships coming together around the need for affordable, safe and inclusive housing in Ottawa.

A special thank you to Dream and Westview Projects Inc. for hosting the tour and showing us just how far Odenak has come. It is exciting to watch this new community take shape at LeBreton Flats.

We look forward to continuing this work together!
