Free roller skating at the arena, July 18!

We're piloting something new this summer at the arena - and you're invited!

Join us for a free, family-friendly roller skating night and help us gauge interest in making this a regular option for our community to enjoy the arena during the summer months.

For this special event only, skate rentals from Nitro Skates will be available at no extra cost on a first-come, first-served basis. Quantities and sizes are not guaranteed. Feel free to bring your own roller skates or rollerblades!

3:30 - 4:30 PM - Sensory-friendly hour (ambient lighting, quieter atmosphere)
5:00 - 6:00 PM - Family groove skate! (low lighting, music up!)
6:30 - 7:30 PM - Family groove skate! (round two!)

🛼Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
🛼Helmets and safety gear (knee/elbow pads) are strongly recommended.
🛼All participants must complete a waiver before skating.

The Tweed Lions Club will be there operating the canteen as well!

Happy to support this team - from Coach Borne: "The Central Hastings School - K-12 Varsity Slo-Pitch team are the Bay of Quinte Champs after an epic 5-game run, wrapping up with a thrilling 18-17 win against Bayside! Next stop: OFSAA in Burlington!

A massive, heartfelt thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Tweed for their incredibly generous donation, which helped cover a portion of our team bus. Traveling to provincials is a huge undertaking, and this support was an immense relief that allows our athletes to focus entirely on preparing for the big festival. We couldn't do this without your support.

Mrs. Erwin, Mrs. Brownson, and Ms. Borne are unbelievably proud of these girls for playing their hearts out to get here. Let’s go, Centurions!"
