🎨Creative Space:
Start the week off with a calm and quiet program dedicated to arts and crafts. Youth will have the opportunity to engage in seasonal projects, employ various art mediums and gain insights from numerous local artists who call the Municipality of Tweed home.
👨👦👦Male Mentorship: Our Director of Operations leads a program focused on providing a safe place for boys, rooted heavily in emotional support, community service and eliminating isolation in young men.
🕹Youth Group: After a busy week of school, a variety of programs focused on building friendship and community take shape on Friday nights.
🥫Food Insecurity Support: Through our partnership with Gleaners Food Bank and dedicated community members, the centre is able to operate as a food distribution outlet tailored to children and young persons. With supervision, youth volunteers assist in organization, intake and management of our food pantry while their involvement in a variety of services within the centre assists youth in understanding wealth disparity.
👕Youth Clothing Bank: A variety of clothing are in stock at our newly outfitted clothing bank. Managed and cataloged by youth volunteers to involve them in the process of helping to address economic inequality.
Whether it's a warm coat to battle the cold or a hat to help beat the heat, Foundations has you covered.
🧼Hygiene Product Support: In memory of Rose Dellar, a caring community member who went beyond expectations, "Rose's Corner" is our fully stocked and discrete hygeine support closet dedicated to eliminating shame and helping youth gain confidence.
🧺Laundry Service: As part of our initiative to alleviate barriers to success for youth within the municipality, the introduction of our free laundry service with supplies provided focuses on giving youth the opportunity to learn life skills and remove stigma around income inequality while supporting local business.
