On Tuesday, our Male Mentorship program stopped by for a visit with Friends and Ferals Cat Rescue to deliver a donation and thank them for all their hard work and dedication. John Sanzo even came along for the walk to learn more about our youth centre and we discussed various ways the community can show it's support.

We're looking forward to having the opportunity to support our neighborhood cat rescue again soon!

Our Male Mentorship Program was hard at work cleaning up the streets of Tweed last Tuesday. We want to thank those who stopped by with words of encouragement and of course Moe’s Diner for the delicious cheeseburgers.

Foundations is proud to present your 2026 Municipality of Tweed Volunteers of the Year!

As a youth centre that dedicates an abundance of our time towards volunteering in our community, seeing our youth be recognized for their continued service within the municipality brings great joy to our organization.

We were fortunate to join so many of our friends in celebration at the Municipality of Tweed Volunteer Appreciation Event.

A thank you goes out to the Municipality of Tweed for their dedication to recognizing our volunteers within the municipality.

Back To School Programs & Services 🍎

👨‍👦‍👦Male Mentorship: Our Director of Operations leads a program focused on providing a safe place for boys. Rooted heavily in community service, emotional support and building a strong sense of purpose in young men's lives, our longest running program looks to reach new heights in year twelve.

🕹Youth Group: After a busy week of school, a variety of programs focused on building friendship and community take shape on Friday nights. With newly added guest speakers and community outings, Foundations Youth Centre is the place to be on Friday nights.

🥫Food Insecurity Support: Through our partnership with Gleaners Food Bank and dedicated community members, the centre is able to operate as a food distribution outlet tailored to children and young persons. With supervision, youth volunteers assist in organization, intake and management of our food pantry while their involvement in a variety of services within the centre assists youth in understanding wealth disparity.

👕Youth Clothing Bank: A variety of clothing are in stock at our newly outfitted clothing bank. Managed and cataloged by youth volunteers to involve them in the process of helping to address economic inequality.
Whether it's a warm coat to battle the cold or a hat to help beat the heat, Foundations has you covered.

🧼Hygiene Product Support: In memory of Rose Dellar, a caring community member who went beyond expectations, "Rose's Corner" is our fully stocked and discrete hygeine support closet dedicated to eliminating shame and helping youth gain confidence.

🧺Laundry Service: As part of our initiative to alleviate barriers to success for youth within the municipality, the introduction of our free laundry service with supplies provided focuses on giving youth the opportunity to learn life skills and remove stigma around income inequality while supporting local business.
