Meet Diamond 💎🐾

Diamond is a beautiful 2-year-old girl who is usually calm and mellow, with some fun bursts of energy mixed in. She loves the simple things - sniffing around outside, sunbathing, rolling over for belly rubs, cuddling, being close to her people and giving face kisses.

Diamond also loves the water and is super athletic, making her a wonderful companion for an active family. She does wonderfully with other dogs, especially when they have a similar easygoing energy. She is also good with kids. She is not a fit for a home with cats or livestock.

Diamond is strong on leash and shows an interest in passing cars, so she’ll need someone willing to continue her training and help her become the best walking companion she can be. She would also make a great jogging companion for someone looking for an active partner.

Diamond is affectionate, loyal, and ready for a safe place to land. If you’re looking for a loving companion with the perfect mix of mellow, playful and athletic, this Diamond in the ruff may be exactly who you’ve been looking for. 💎❤️

🌟🌈 Available for Foster or Foster to Adopt 🌟🌈

Jazz | Male | Approx. 1.5 years
German Shepherd Mix | Neutered | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Heartworm negative
Good with dogs | Good with kids | Active & playful | Adventure dog

Meet Jazz 💙🐾

Jazz is a handsome 1.5-year-old German Shepherd mix with a playful spirit, an adventurous personality and a whole lot of life ahead of him.

This boy is looking for more than somewhere to sleep - Jazz wants a life he can participate in. He’s the kind of dog who would love hiking trails, exploring new parks, heading out for long walks and then coming home knowing he had a full day with his people.

One of Jazz’s favourite things is playing with other dogs. He regularly participates in playgroup and happily romps around with female dogs. Canine companionship seems to be something he genuinely thrives on, and he could be especially happy in a home with another similarly sized, playful dog who’s ready for games of chase and wrestling.

Jazz also walks nicely on leash, making him an excellent candidate for someone looking for a dog they can actually get out and enjoy the world with.

He’s treat motivated and eager to learn, which is a fantastic combination in a young Shepherd. German Shepherds are known for being highly intelligent, loyal and deeply connected to their people. They often thrive when they’re given structure, training and opportunities to use both their brains and bodies.

Jazz doesn’t need an actual job - but he’d probably be thrilled if you convinced him he had one.

Whether that’s being your hiking partner, learning new commands, joining you on weekend adventures or simply supervising everything happening around the house, Jazz wants to be part of the action.

Jazz is good with kids and could make a wonderful addition to an active family ready to include him in their everyday life.

Jazz has also been waiting in the shelter since July 17. That’s a long time for such a young, active dog to spend without a home of his own. He deserves the opportunity to trade shelter life for trails, toys, canine friends and a family who can give all that intelligence and enthusiasm somewhere to go.

Jazz is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative.

If you’re looking for a dog who will encourage you to get outside, explore and actually do things together, Jazz could be an incredible companion.

He’s young. He’s smart. He loves other dogs. He’s ready to learn.

Now he just needs someone to finally choose him. 💙🐾

Scotch | Male | 36.4 lbs | 2 years
Australian Cattle Dog | Neutered | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Heartworm negative
Good with dogs | Good with kids | Good with dog-savvy indoor cats | Medium energy

Meet Scotch 💙🐾

Scotch is a handsome 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who’s ready to find a family looking for an intelligent, loyal and adventurous little sidekick.

At just 36 pounds, Scotch packs a whole lot of personality into a compact package. He has a great medium energy level - playful and active when it’s time for an adventure, but able to settle once his needs have been met.

Scotch loves chasing toys, playing and getting the chance to really stretch his legs with a good run. A home with a yard would be wonderful for him, but it isn’t a requirement. He could also adapt well to apartment living with a family committed to regular exercise, adventures and mental enrichment.

And with an Australian Cattle Dog, that mental enrichment is important.

Cattle Dogs are incredibly smart, loyal, hardworking and devoted to their people. They were bred to think, problem-solve and work alongside humans, and many are happiest when they feel like they’re participating in their person’s life. Scotch doesn’t necessarily need cattle to herd - his “job” could be joining you for hikes, learning new tricks, going on daily walks or simply being your partner in whatever the day brings.

He’s good with other dogs with proper introductions and does well with children. Scotch has also done well with indoor, dog-savvy cats. His behaviour around outdoor cats is currently unknown.

Scotch is easy to crate and is already showing us what a wonderful companion he can be. He’s still working on his leash manners, so his new family should be prepared to continue helping him learn through consistency and positive reinforcement.

At only two years old, Scotch has so much ahead of him. He’s at a fantastic age where he’s still young enough to be goofy, playful and ready for adventures while beginning to move beyond the nonstop puppy stage.

Scotch is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative, with no known health concerns.

For someone who loves the intelligence and loyalty of a working breed but is looking for a dog with a manageable medium energy level, Scotch could be an incredible match.

Give this boy some structure, exercise, things to think about and plenty of love, and he’ll give you something Australian Cattle Dogs are pretty famous for in return - one seriously devoted best friend. 💙🐾

Meet Lainey 💜🐾

Lainey is a beautiful 3-year-old German Shepherd mix with a sweet, affectionate personality and that wonderful Shepherd combination of intelligence, loyalty and eagerness to learn.

At 43 pounds, Lainey is a lovely manageable size and already has so many qualities that could make her an incredible family companion. She is good with dogs, cats AND children and especially enjoys playing outside with her canine friends and spending time with kids.

This smart girl already has some impressive skills. Lainey is crate trained, leash trained and knows sit, down and paw. She’s also very treat motivated, which makes training fun and gives her new family a great foundation to continue building on.

Lainey also does wonderfully in the car, so if you’re looking for a dog who can tag along on adventures, she’s ready to hop in and join you.

She has a nice medium energy level and would be comfortable in many different types of homes as long as she’s getting regular exercise, enrichment and plenty of time with her people. She’ll happily enjoy playtime and walks but also values having somewhere peaceful to relax.

Lainey does prefer a calmer environment and isn’t a fan of loud noises, so she’ll appreciate a family who understands that and gives her a quiet, comfortable space when she needs it.

As a German Shepherd mix, Lainey comes from a breed known for forming incredibly strong bonds with their people. Shepherds are intelligent, observant and loyal dogs who thrive when they’re included in family life and given opportunities to use their brains. Lainey already has so many of those wonderful qualities.

Her housetraining status is currently unknown, so her new family should be prepared to help her adjust to a consistent routine if needed.

Lainey is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative, with no known health concerns or physical limitations.

She’s smart, affectionate, social and already has so many of the basics figured out. More than anything, Lainey is ready to have people of her own and become the loyal companion she was meant to be.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, intelligent and loving girl who gets along with dogs, cats and kids and would love to be part of your everyday life, Lainey may be your girl. 💜🐾

Scootie Jr | Female | 73 lbs | Approx. 4.5 years
German Shepherd / Australian Shepherd Mix | Spayed | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Heartworm negative
Good with dogs | Gentle & soft | Medium energy

Meet Scootie Jr 🖤🐾

Scootie Jr is a beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix who is having a hard time understanding how she ended up in a shelter.

At 73 pounds, Scootie is a substantial girl, but everything noted about her personality points to a sweet, soft and gentle dog. Right now she’s scared and understandably overwhelmed by her surroundings. During her assessment, staff noted that she simply seemed to want out of the shelter environment.

But even through that fear, little pieces of her personality are already beginning to appear.

Once she had some time outside, Scootie started becoming playful with toys and engaging with the people around her. It’s a small glimpse of the dog underneath all that uncertainty - a girl who wants to relax, play and feel normal again.

Scootie has also done well meeting another dog. Her dog-to-dog assessment described her as gentle and dainty, with a soft approach to other dogs.

With both German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd in her mix, Scootie comes from two highly intelligent, loyal and people-oriented breeds. Both are known for forming incredibly strong bonds with their families and thriving when they have companionship, routine, mental stimulation and a sense of purpose.

They’re also sensitive, observant dogs who tend to notice everything happening around them. For a girl like Scootie, the constant noise and activity of shelter life can be especially overwhelming.

And that may be exactly what we’re seeing right now.

She isn’t showing us a dog who doesn’t want connection. She’s showing us a dog who is scared and doesn’t understand what is happening to her. Give her somewhere quiet to decompress, let her learn the routine and allow her to build trust without pressure, and there may be a completely different Scootie waiting underneath.

She’s okay on leash, does well in her kennel and has already started showing interest in playing with toys once she has a chance to relax.

Scootie Jr is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative.

At only 4 years old, she has so much life ahead of her. What she needs now is someone willing to give her the one thing a shelter can’t provide - the security of a home where she can finally exhale.

If you understand Shepherds and have a soft spot for the dogs who just need a little time to show you who they really are, Scootie Jr may be waiting for you. 🖤🐾

Pecan | Female | 40 lbs | 3 years
Australian Cattle Dog Mix | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Heartworm negative
Good with dogs | Gentle & social | Walks great on leash | Lap dog

Meet Pecan 🩵🐾

Pecan is a stunning 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with gorgeous merle colouring, beautiful blue eyes and a personality that may surprise you if you're expecting the typical always-on Cattle Dog.

Because this girl? She wants to be in your lap.

Pecan is described as a sweet, happy girl who loves being close to her people. She's curious about her surroundings and interested in what's happening around her, but she's also incredibly affectionate and seems happiest when she can stay close to someone she trusts.

At 40 pounds, she may not technically be lap-dog sized, but apparently nobody has explained that to Pecan yet.

She's also been wonderful with other dogs. Her dog-to-dog assessment describes her as soft, social and gentle, with a gentle/dainty interaction style. She came into the shelter with another dog, so she's already accustomed to canine companionship.

Pecan also walks great on leash, does well in her kennel and showed no food aggression during her assessment. She can be a little whiny at times, but overall she's been described as a very sweet and happy girl.

As an Australian Cattle Dog mix, Pecan comes from a breed famous for being exceptionally intelligent, loyal, observant and devoted to their people. Cattle Dogs were bred to work closely alongside humans and often form incredibly strong bonds with the people they consider their family.

They also tend to thrive when their intelligent minds have something to do. Training, sniffing walks, enrichment, games and adventures can all be wonderful ways to keep a Cattle Dog brain happy. And while the breed is often associated with high energy, individual dogs vary - and Pecan is already showing us that she has a wonderfully affectionate, softer side.

Pecan is vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is not currently spayed.

She really seems to have such a beautiful combination of traits - smart and curious, yet soft and affectionate. Social with dogs, but deeply interested in being close to her person.

If you're looking for a beautiful, intelligent dog who will happily explore the world with you and then attempt to fit all 40 pounds of herself directly into your lap, Pecan may be your girl. 🩵🐾

Applications closed. We appreciate all the interest in helping senior Lionel. We can’t possibly reach out to the volume of applications we have received while we continue to help find placements for other dogs.

Lionel | Male | 39 lbs | 9 years
Australian Cattle Dog Mix | Neutered | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Heartworm negative
Good with dogs | Gentle & social | Walks beautifully on leash

Meet Lionel 🤍🐾

There is something extra special about a senior dog, and 9-year-old Lionel is exactly the kind of sweet older gentleman who deserves to spend his golden years surrounded by love.

At only 39 pounds, Lionel is a wonderfully manageable size. Shelter staff describe him as a super sweet, happy guy who is curious and interested in everything happening around him. He's friendly, engaged and still very much interested in experiencing the world.

And apparently, Lionel has some excellent manners.

He is wonderful on leash - staff specifically noted that he walks very nicely. He's also comfortable in his kennel and has been described simply as a very nice boy.

Lionel has done beautifully meeting other dogs. His dog-to-dog assessment described his play style as gentle and dainty, with additional notes calling him soft and social. For an older boy, that gentle approach to canine friendships is especially lovely.

He came into the shelter with another dog named Pecan, so Lionel has already experienced a major change in his life. At 9 years old, starting over in a shelter is a lot to ask of any dog.

As an Australian Cattle Dog mix, Lionel comes from a breed known for being extremely intelligent, loyal and deeply connected to their people. Cattle Dogs are famously devoted companions, and even as seniors they often retain that wonderful curiosity and desire to be involved in whatever their humans are doing.

Lionel may be 9, but senior doesn't mean finished. This happy boy still has adventures to take, places to sniff, leisurely walks to enjoy and an enormous amount of companionship left to give.

What he deserves now is the softer chapter.

A comfortable bed. Nice walks. Good food. A family to follow around. Maybe a gentle canine friend. And the security of knowing that he doesn't have to lose his home again.

Lionel is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative.

If you have a soft spot for senior dogs and you're looking for a sweet, gentle, dog-social companion who walks beautifully on leash and still approaches life with curiosity and happiness, please consider Lionel.

Nine years old is not too old to start over. It's just old enough to really appreciate finally being home. 🤍🐾

Meet Rocco 🤍🐾

Rocco is a happy, social 2-year-old boy with a curious personality and an enthusiasm for exploring absolutely everything around him.

At 56 pounds, Rocco is a great medium-to-large size and has been described by shelter staff as a very nice, happy guy. He's curious by nature and loves investigating his surroundings - during one assessment, he was far more interested in checking out every interesting smell in the room than worrying about what the humans were doing.

Rocco has also done wonderfully in his dog-to-dog assessment. He's described as social and playful with other dogs, which is such a lovely quality for a young dog who enjoys having fun and making friends.

He's comfortable on leash, does well in his kennel and showed no food aggression during his shelter assessment.

As a Terrier mix, Rocco comes from dogs that are often known for being affectionate, playful, enthusiastic and deeply people-oriented. They tend to form strong bonds with their families and thrive when they're included in everyday life.

At just 2 years old, Rocco is still a young guy with plenty of playful energy and curiosity. He'd love a home that gives him opportunities for walks, sniffing adventures, playtime, enrichment and continued positive training - followed, of course, by plenty of time hanging out with his people.

Rocco is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative.

There's something especially charming about a dog who is simply happy to be here and interested in everything. Rocco wants to investigate the smells, meet some dog friends, play and experience everything life outside the shelter has to offer.

If you're looking for a handsome, playful, dog-social young guy with a happy personality and a curious little nose that's always leading him toward his next adventure, Rocco may be your guy. 🤍🐾

Meet Hugo 🤎🐾

Hugo is a handsome 4-year-old boy with a gentle, people-oriented personality and a very simple request - he would really just like to be close to you.

At 65 pounds, Hugo is a substantial boy, but the people who have spent time with him describe him as well mannered, attentive and incredibly nice. He's comfortable on leash, does well in his kennel and seems genuinely interested in connecting with the person on the other end of that leash.

One of the sweetest things noted about Hugo is simply that he likes to be close to you. He's an affectionate boy who seems to value companionship and human connection, and we can easily imagine him becoming someone's loyal shadow once he's settled into a home.

Hugo has also shown no food aggression during his shelter assessment. He's attentive to his handler and already showing some lovely manners despite living in a stressful shelter environment.

As a Terrier mix, Hugo comes from dogs known for being affectionate, playful and incredibly people-oriented. They often form strong bonds with their families and love being included in everyday life. They can be active and enthusiastic when it's time to have fun while also being wonderfully affectionate companions at home.

At 4 years old, Hugo is at such a great age. He's well beyond the tiny puppy stage but still young enough for years of adventures, walks and playtime ahead of him.

Hugo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative.

What stands out most about this boy isn't anything complicated. He's simply a really nice dog. Handsome, attentive, well mannered and happiest when he's close to someone.

Hugo deserves the opportunity to trade his kennel for a home where being close to his person doesn't have to be temporary. He deserves for that person to finally be his person. 🤎🐾
