Last call, parents. Applications for ACCN’s Independent School Program close Friday, October 16.

“Dream without limits, but build with discipline.” – Cherryl Lewis

Congratulations to our Executive Director, Cherryl Lewis, on being named one of this year’s 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women.

This honour recognizes women whose leadership lifts Black women, girls and communities across Canada. For the ACCN family, it reflects what we see every day: a leader who shows up for our youth and families with faith, vision and heart.

To Cherryl’s family, who were right there beside her: this moment is yours too. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, and to the 100ABC team for this recognition.

Swipe through the night, and watch her interview on our page.

The first week of school is officially in the books! 📚✨

As Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

At ACCN, our Annual Back 2 School BBQ is one of the ways we give back to our community and help students start the school year with confidence. Through school supplies, resources, and community support, we want every young person to know that they are capable of achieving great things.

To our sponsors, donors, community partners, staff, and volunteers, thank you for helping make this year’s event possible. Your support reminds our youth and families that they are not alone and that a community is standing behind them every step of the way.

As the school year begins, we look forward to continuing to support, encourage, and celebrate our students throughout their journey.
