Annex Cat Rescue Annex Cat Rescue is a 100% volunteer charity dedicated to addressing the plight of homeless cats. Please note: We do not have an office or a shelter.

Annex Cat Rescue is a Toronto-based, 100% volunteer registered charity founded in 1997. Our mission is to address the problem of homeless & street cats in Toronto by spaying/neutering, bringing adoptable cats into our foster/adoption program, managing colonies of feral cats (those who are not adoptable), and educating the public about responsible pet ownership and living with community cats. Cats live with foster families or in managed colonies.

Congratulations to the cats and kittens who recently found their furever homes and to the amazing humans who opened their hearts to them!

Every adoption is a fresh start: a warm bed instead of the street, full food bowls and a lifetime of love. Watching our cats leave foster care and head home never gets old. It’s why we do what we do.

ACR will reimburse your registration fees if you hit our moderate fundraising targets. Whether you run, walk or do a bit of both, every step helps give a street cat a future worth running toward.

Meet Cosmo — a playful, affectionate little guy with the sweetest purr! 🌙✨

Cosmo may take a little time to warm up, but once he feels safe, he loves pets and attention. He's a sleepy sweetheart by day and a zoomie machine by night! He's also good with calm, respectful dogs.

Meet Syrup and Goggles, a sweet pair of brothers looking for a loving home together.

Syrup is affectionate, enjoying belly rubs, chin scratches, and showing off his loud purr. Goggles is a playful, curious explorer who loves treats, toys, and head scratches.

Both are growing more confident,enjoy spending time with people, and know how to sit for treats. They’re looking for a patient home where they can thrive together.

🐈‍⬛ Meet Shadow! 🖤

Just in time for spooky season, meet Shadow! 🎃 This 10-month-old sweetheart loves pets, belly rubs, and greeting his people at the door with meows. He’s also a playful boy who loves lasers, balls, and running around!

Shadow may be shy at first, but treats are definitely the way to his heart. Once he feels comfortable, his curious and affectionate personality comes out, and he’ll happily follow you around to see what you’re doing. 🐾

Shadow would do best in a quiet home where he can get plenty of love, playtime, and, of course, a cozy bed for his naps. 🖤

We’re celebrating all the rescue cats who have found their people, the ones still waiting for their furever homes and the wonderful humans who make rescue possible.
