A great week in Ottawa for the 2026 AMO Conference! 🏗️

WE HBA CEO Mike Collins-Williams and Chair Dani Gabriele were proud to represent our members and connect with leaders from across Ontario, including Minister Rob Flack, Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath and Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward.

A highlight was the OHBA Housing Exchange Reception, proudly sponsored by WE HBA, bringing industry and government together for important conversations on housing supply, affordability and supporting growth across Ontario.

WE HBA’s inaugural Missing Middle & Infill Subcommittee Walking Tour brought together committee members and City of Hamilton staff to visit projects that have successfully delivered missing middle housing.

Led by Subcommittee Chair Charles Wah, the tour explored the planning history, approvals process, and challenges these types of developments face, sparking thoughtful discussion throughout the tour.

OHBA is thrilled to be in Mississauga today where Premier Ford, Minister Bethlenfalvy and Minister Flack announced that the provincial government will be removing the PST from new-built home purchases under $1 million and will be reducing the PST on new-built homes between $1 million and $1.85 million for the next year. OHBA and our members have advocated for this monumental change for months, as we know the impact this will have for builders, renovators and consumers. More details to follow
