October is AAC Awareness Month! The theme for 2026 is AAC in Everyday Life: Today, Tomorrow, and Beyond. ✨🚀

The goal is to raise awareness of AAC and to inform the public about the many different ways in which people communicate using communication devices.

Once again, we are aligning this year’s theme with our upcoming Virtual Conference happening from November 10-11, 2026, where we will explore practical and forward-looking approaches to advancing the field of AAC with inspiring lectures, interactive sessions, panel discussions and poster sessions.

💬 Octobre, c’est le Mois de la Communication Alternative et Améliorée !

Quand la parole est difficile ou impossible, communiquer reste essentiel : exprimer un besoin, faire un choix, partager une émotion, échanger avec ses proches… et tout simplement prendre part à la vie quotidienne.

Pour les personnes atteintes de locked-in syndrome, la Communication Alternative et Améliorée (CAA) est donc un enjeu majeur. Codes de communication, contacteurs, tablettes, commande oculaire… différentes solutions peuvent permettre de retrouver un moyen de s’exprimer et d’interagir avec son entourage.

Cette année, le Mois de la CAA a pour thème :
👉 « La CAA au quotidien : aujourd’hui et vers le futur »

Tout au long du mois d’octobre, ISAAC Francophone (Association Internationale pour la Communication Alternative et Améliorée) proposera de nombreuses initiatives et ressources : temps d’échange entre utilisateurs de CAA, outils pratiques, conseils et bonnes pratiques, supports de communication, partages d’expériences…
