This is a great year for NUTMEG Soccer (🔗nutmegsoccer.org) — we are incredibly honoured to share that we have received the 2026 Toronto Community Champion Award! 💜🏆
Thank you to the City of Toronto, United Way Greater Toronto, and Enbridge for selecting us as recipients of this award. It means the world to be recognized by organizations that care so deeply about this city and the people in it.
This award belongs to every single person who has been part of our story, and who have shown up for the kids in our community — our volunteers (past and present), coaches, backstage staff and board members. You give your time, your energy, and your hearts to make sure that no child is left behind, and this recognition is a direct reflection of everything you've poured into our programs since day one, 10 years ago. Thank you, from the bottom of our cleats. ⚽💜
This milestone also reminds us of how much more we can do together. Special thanks to our friends at Ready, Set, Play Children's Charity, MLSE LaunchPad, MLSE Foundation, York University and Volunteer Toronto who have supported us all these years through sponsorship, equipment, training, volunteer resources and so much more.
Congratulations to the other recipients of this award. It has been a pleasure sharing the stage with you. Learning about your mission and the creative ways you serve the community motivates us beyond words to dream bigger, do more, and deepen our impact across Toronto.

📣 And speaking of growing our community — spots are still available in our ALL-GIRLS program this summer! ⚽ Our free, Monday drop-in soccer sessions are open to all girls aged 6–12. We'd love to see more young players on the field! Our programs are always free, with lots of fun, great coaching, and life skills that go far beyond the game.
