✨ new intake - meet Panchito ✨

This 9 year old and 9lb guy just made a big leap of faith by traveling across the world to hopefully FINALLY have a forever home.

While his time with sos starts now, sometime in his history, this guy had a broken jaw that never had medical attention. His body had to heal it itself and now it is permanently open. It is beyond repair but doesn’t really slow him down! We’re just sad he had to endure the pain and suffering.

Living in an area with many strays, Panchito has come to us to find a family that will recognize, love and support his differences but also celebrate all of him!

Still settling into care, he is enjoying time in foster care with a yard, house with other animals, and attention from his foster family.

We will let him settle in before getting him adoptable. This post is to welcome him to care!!!

If you’d like to donate to his care, please visit www.saveourscruff.org/donate or message us for the link 💞✨

Welcome Panchito

Lua is home 💞✨

Lua is doing great!! A note from her adopters:

“Lua is doing great! We’re settling into a nice routine, every day you can see she is getting more comfortable with her new environment and she’s making a bunch of new friends (both dogs and humans)! We wake up everyday at 5 am, she goes to the backyard for potty time and then we both eat breakfast before heading out for our morning walk. She loves walking in the giant field of grass at our nearby park and all the early morning walkers adore her. Oh she also loves laundry day, for some reason she loves sleeping on my laundry that I need to fold lol”

Congrats to Lua and her family 💞✨

swipe to potentially meet your new besties

Thanks to some dedicated flight volunteers and the amazing organization we have 11 new arrives headed our way. After recently living in shelters, they will all be landing into foster care by mid morning and starting the journey to find their families. First, decompression.

Stay tuned — we will definitely share more as they settle in! Who are you excited to hear more about?!

If you’d like to donate to their care (our average cost per dog is over $1,000) visit our website to donate or send us a message and we will get it to ya!

Welcome home friends 💞

111 animals spay & neutered

We did this alongside our friends as well as 5 vets, 2 student vets, 2 RVT, 11 local volunteers, 8 SOS volunteers, and some donated money & supplies.

Love this work! It’s such a reminder how so many people love their fur family when we get the chance to hang out with them.

✨ May Adoptions ✨

🎉 21 adoptions. 21 happy endings. Countless treats demanded. 🐾

May was a BIG month for our rescue family!

This month, 21 dogs packed their bags, stole some hearts, and headed off to their forever homes. ❤️

That includes all 6 puppies from Rose’s litter, mama Rose herself, Botitas, Canuck (now Roscoe), Chia Cookie (now Jam), Crystal, Escarcha (now Willow), Frisbee (now Kylo), Howie, Juliet (now Lucy), Lua, Luna, Lupita (now Pigeon), Morita, Priskie, Raz, Rennie, and Yorch (now Billy).

From first cuddles to gotcha days, every one of these pups started a new chapter this month 📖

Thank you to our adopters, fosters, volunteers, and supporters for making these happy tails possible. We couldn’t do it without you!

Now excuse us while we make room for the next group of dogs waiting for their chance 🐶✨

Mexico trip part 2, stay for the last photo

day 2 for the visit to shelter in Mexico. Many of our dogs come from spot. We are bringing home 11, which only leaves 432 waiting for foster homes.

A few things to know
- larger breed dogs and black dogs sit longest at shelters waiting for rescue placement
- most countries have rescues and shelters looking for travellers to transport dogs and/or supplies around the world
- spay / neuter is a great way to reduce the number of dogs entering shelters year after year
- the average cost to support a dog into SOS care is around $1,500, fundraising support is appreciated

Enjoy these captures to give a inside look into the many dogs waiting for families
