R-SEAT’s latest Reflection Note, “Beyond Presence: Who Shapes Decisions in Global Refugee Governance?”, highlights why refugee-led organizations (RLOs) and actors with lived experience are essential partners, not just stakeholders.

RLOs systematic participation strengthens program relevance, efficiency, and sustainability, especially in restrictive funding environments where every resource must be used strategically.

📢 Kenya’s Shirika Plan: Theory or Real Path to Action?

R-SEAT’s latest blog dives into critical reflections from Ochan Leomoi (Dadaab Response Association) on what the Shirika Plan could mean in practice.

As Kenya begins shifting away from decades of encampment toward more inclusive, integrated settlements, the blog raises a critical question: can this approach truly translate into action? The piece examines the promise of inclusion alongside the realities on the ground, highlighting the need for meaningful refugee participation, persistent policy gaps, and the mixed hopes and concerns shaping how both refugees and host communities view the Plan.
