The “grocery benefit” being paid today (June 5, 2026) is a one-time GST/HST credit top-up from the federal government. It is part of the transition to the new Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit, which begins in July 2026.

To receive it, you must have:

* Filed your 2024 tax return, and
* Been eligible for the GST/HST credit in January 2026.

The payment is equal to 50% of your annual GST/HST credit amount for the July 2025–June 2026 benefit year.

Missing Youth ~ Please Share.

LOCATED – RUSAIFA

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance locating a missing youth.

Rusaifa, 15, was last seen on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at approximately 12:50 p.m., in the Guildwood Parkway and Livingston Road area. Rusaifa was located on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

🍕❤️ Today We Celebrated My Mom, Linda Shutt ❤️🍕

Today we honoured my mom’s memory in a way she would have loved — by giving back to our downtown community.

Together, we handed out:

🍕 100 slices of pizza
🍌 Bananas
🍊 Clementines
🥣 Applesauce
🍓 Fruit cups
🥤 Juice boxes
💧 Water
🍫 Chocolate
🍪 Cookies
🌽 Doritos
🥨 Granola bars
🧦 Socks
👕 T-shirts
🩳 Shorts

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make this evening possible. Your kindness allowed us to continue the work that meant so much to my mom and to support our neighbours in need.

Today was filled with love, community, and remembrance. ❤️

Thank you for helping us keep Linda’s spirit of giving alive.

My mom was instrumental in the growth and success of Morgan’s Hands. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to helping others continue to inspire everything we do.

Tomorrow, we will gather to remember her, celebrate her life, and honour the incredible impact she had on our community.
