Your Foundation represents many of BC's Prostate Cancer patients, their family, and community, led and supported by many volunteers acting through awareness, information and support group programs. This information is available directly on our website or links to other worthy site resources. The Foundation's fundraising provides the resources for these programs throughout B.C., to catalyst research projects and doctorial fellowships so that the best medical researchers have the equipment and resources to search for better treatment and a cure for Prostate Cancer.

A cancer diagnosis affects more than just physical health. It can bring fear, anxiety, uncertainty, and emotional strain for both those facing prostate cancer and the loved ones supporting them.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we’re reminding everyone that mental health matters at every stage of the cancer journey. It’s okay to not be okay, to ask for help, and to lean on others when things feel overwhelming.

No one should have to navigate cancer alone. Let’s continue to break the stigma surrounding mental health, encourage open conversations, and remind those affected by prostate cancer that support is always important.

Last year, our amazing runners raised more than $36,000 across the BMO Vancouver Marathon and Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, helping support the fight against prostate cancer across Canada. Now, we’re setting our sights even higher for 2027. 💪

As Prostate Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to thank everyone across the country who helped make this our biggest Awareness Month ever.

From radio networks and podcasts to events, community partners, and our Light Up in Blue campaign, the support, collaboration, and conversations around prostate cancer reached more people than ever before.

To everyone who shared a post, attended an event, wore blue, lit up a landmark, started a conversation, or simply helped spread the word — thank you.

Awareness saves lives, and together, we’re making sure more men and their families know the importance of early detection.

This is only the beginning. We can’t wait to make Prostate Cancer Awareness Month even bigger and more impactful in the years ahead.

Today, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities across Canada as we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honour the Survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home, while acknowledging the ongoing impact of the residential school system and the importance of listening, learning, and continuing the work toward reconciliation.

At Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada, we believe in building a future where every person has the opportunity to access the care, support, and resources they need.

And we’re excited to share that something very special is coming soon.

Together with Onni Group, we’ll soon be announcing an Indigenous Prostate Cancer Support Group initiative that we’re incredibly proud to be a part of.

🐉🚣‍♂️ 10 YEARS OF BUTTS IN A BOAT!

On Saturday, we celebrated a decade of paddling through prostate cancer together.

For 10 years, Butts in a Boat has brought men affected by prostate cancer together through dragon boating — building strength, friendship, camaraderie and a community where no one has to face the journey alone.

From the first stroke to the thousands that followed, these past 10 years have been about so much more than being in a boat. They’ve been about showing up for one another, staying active, sharing experiences and moving forward together.

Here’s to 10 incredible years of the Butts — and to many more strokes together. 💙🐉
