We’ve spent the last few weeks looking at justification: the incredible gift of being made right with God through faith in Jesus.

But what do we do with a gift like that?

We respond.

We worship Him with gratitude. We remember what He’s done. We share His grace with others. And we keep walking with Him, remaining rooted in the hope we’ve received.

Not to earn our salvation.

Not to prove we’re good enough.

But because of what Jesus has already done for us.

As we wrap up our Justified by Faith series, here’s a reminder to carry with you: grace isn’t something we earn. It’s a gift we get to live in and respond to every day.

A new week is coming. Work. Bills. Family. Events.

Life gets busy quickly. It’s so easy to get caught up in everything that’s coming up, and we can forget everything that has already happened.

In Colossians, Paul reminds us that the rescue and redemption we have in Jesus has ALREADY been done. It is past tense. Our rescue isn’t coming, it’s happened.

So the next time life gets busy and faith feels far, remember what God has already done for us.

How would starting your devotions or your day with gratitude change how you live?

The challenge: spend 5min a day thanking God. For friends, family, etc. Worship Him.

And see if this heart posture changes your attitude. It might not seem like much at first, but what if you give it a try?

We live in a world that always tells us to do more. Be better. Level up.

And we have a habit of bringing this into our faith. Pray more. Read the Bible longer. Serve.

All of these are good things, but they aren’t what save us. They aren’t even what make us “good Christians.”

Justification means God has declared us righteous through Jesus. Faith in Him is all nothing we do on top of that lets us earn that gift. God gives it freely to each of us.

Will you say yes?

We’ve all had that moment where we were so sure we were right… only to be the one who made the mistake.

It’s a humbling moment to say the least.

You have to own up not only to your mistake but to whoever the blame may have been put on. And then hopefully, you get to ask for a little grace.

With Jesus, we don’t need to pretend we have it all together. We can make mistakes, fall short, and without fail He gives us new mercy every morning.

There’s a lot we don’t know about life. The only thing that feels certain sometimes is change.

But we DO have a permanent hope in Jesus. We can be sure of our salvation by His grace. We can know 100% that He is our hope, no matter the circumstances around us.

Hard seasons can leave us wondering what we’re supposed to do next.

Sometimes we want an explanation. Sometimes we just want things to get better.

But while we may not be able to change our circumstances right away, we can remember three things:

1. Acknowledge what you’re going through.
2. Ask God to sustain you.
3. Look for what He may be developing in you.

You don’t have to pretend the pain isn’t real. And you don’t have to believe the pain is the end of your story.

In Jesus, there is hope even here.

Save this for a day when you need the reminder.
