True Grit Cowboy Mounted Shooters Cowboy mounted shooting with pistols, rifles and shotguns using black powder blanks. Cowboy mounted shooting is North America's fastest growing equine sport.

It is a high speed, timed spectator sport and the object is to shoot ten balloon targets while riding through a variety of challenging courses using specially loaded blank cartridges fired from 2 Old West style single action revolvers.

LAST SMOKE at Chisholm Trail....the smoke and fog has cleared and we all had a GOOD TIME! It's so much more than competition - it's the friendships made, the support for one another, the LAUGHS, and the memories created along the way. That's what make this sport so special.....Grit, Guns and Good Times! Thank-you to everyone who came out to shoot and cheer us on!

Special thanks to John Copithorne for coming out to announce and provide us with a few laughs and great announcing! It was really appreciated it.

Many many thanks to the balloon runners who ran their butts off, that group of kids and Bill is just amazing and we appreciate you all!! Many thanks to the Range Masters Couchy and Don, and the smilin' timer crew Raelene, Karen, Shaelee and Danielle, Mario for keeping the arena groomed and to anyone else that jumped in and helped. And Greggory did a fine job on bbqing the hot dogs for the Hot Dog bar and also another thank-you Greggory for the cooler full of beverages and pizza for the Birthday shenanigans! It took alot of Birthday beverages to fill that cooler he won at Fire in the Foothills!

And the repeat side event, Pigeon Racing was a big hit! Will was 1st for $110, Mario was 2nd for $70 and Cathy was 3rd for $45.
We had 6 Clean Shooters to win $73 each and that was Alyssa Nielson, Greggory Jackson, Cathy Litvak, Clint Bowman, Matt Nielsen and Amanda Jackson.

Candy Jar Guess winner was Kassie, She guessed 150 and the answer was 194!
