Almost two weeks into our strike, Oxfam Canada has yet to return to the bargaining table. Despite the silence from the employer, we remain strong, united, and determined. Rain or shine, we continue to walk the picket line in defence of hard-won collective agreement rights and a workplace that reflects the values Oxfam promotes around the world.

Canadians deserve decisions that put public health and environmental protection first.

When scientific experts identify unacceptable risks, those findings should not be set aside for political or economic reasons.

Public policy must be guided by evidence, transparency, and the safety of our communities.

“School boards across Ontario are being forced into difficult decisions that directly affect students’ opportunities and experiences.”

Students in Thames Valley are speaking out after learning that course cuts and larger class sizes could limit access to the courses they need to graduate and pursue post-secondary pathways.

As OSSTF District 11 President John Bernans notes, larger classes mean fewer course sections, and programs that are not fully enrolled are often the first to be cut. These are the real consequences of this government’s underfunding.

Students deserve access to the courses, supports, and opportunities they need to succeed.
