✨ $750 in young artist scholarships given out (thank you Libro Credit Union and Leap Junction (F1043) !!)
🎨 22 students and families joined me for one-on-one and small group art sessions
🌱 Countless experiments, conversations, and creative moments

Thank you to every family who trusted me with a little piece of your child’s creative journey. Watching these young artists explore, take risks, and make unexpected discoveries has been such a joy!

Suminagashi printmaking with Hazel! 🌊✨

Floating ink was requested by Simone, a creative young artist who found the idea in one of her art books! It has quickly became a favourite with many of our studio visitors 🙌😊

Anne and her daughter Elle from Anne | Flower Farm in Lambton County | spent the afternoon at Bright Little Studio!! They arrived with the most gorgeous flowers from their ranch, and we experimented, played, and discovered what happened when sunlight meets petals and paper. 🌸💙

This got be thinking about offering deep-dive sessions into specific art mediums — a chance to experiment, ask questions, and see if a process is right for you before investing in all the supplies at home.

One of our little studio artists diving into the magical world of encaustics! 🖍️🎨✨

I love watching curiosity take the lead as children discover, and create without worrying about getting it “right.” Encaustics really lends itself to this feeling of freedom, as it’s just so darn fun to experiment with! Every layer tells a story. 💛

Some artists love exploring different projects each class, while others enjoy returning to the same creative practice again and again. This artist has been building worlds, inventing characters, and creating comic adventures each week. I can hardly wait to see where the storyline will go!

Last week they gave me one of their creations to hang in the studio gallery, which was such a special gift. 💕

We spent a cozy, rainy Sunday making cards Radiant Community Centre with Javi and friends 💛💛💛

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to make art, connect with community, and support the birth and parenting mural we’re working on. It was such a lovely afternoon.

🌈 An art adventure with a super creative student I have the pleasure of seeing every week! 😊❤️

This artwork began with a little pebble. We followed it around the page with our markers, discovered all the interesting shapes it left behind, and then brought them to life with watercolour, acrylic markers, paint sticks and Poscas!

My dear friend Anna from introduced me to this art process years ago, and it’s still one of my favourites. It’s relaxing, playful, and always leads to surprising results! ✨
