Les clubs Optimistes sont voués à « inspirer le meilleur chez les jeunes » et ils y contribuent par le biais des programmes de services communautaires. Étant donné que chaque club est autonome et dirigé par les membres au sein de leur collectivité, les Optimistes ont la souplesse voulue pour servir la jeunesse de leurs régions comme bon leur semble. Les clubs Optimistes décèlent un besoin au sein

de leurs collectivités et prennent les mesures nécessaires pour y répondre. Optimist Clubs are dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" and do their part through community service projects. Since each Club is autonomous and run by members in their community, Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their area in any way they see fit. Optimist Clubs see a need in their community and react to it. Les clubs Optimistes parrainent, au sein de leurs collectivités, des projets de service communautaire concrets visant à tendre la main à la jeunesse. Parce que les membres d'un club Optimiste sourient à la vie, ils aident les jeunes à réaliser leur plein potentiel. Chaque club Optimiste détermine les besoins des jeunes de sa collectivité et met en œuvre des programmes visant à en satisfaire les exigences. Les Optimistes entreprennent, chaque année, 65 000 projets de service communautaire rendant ainsi service à bien au-delà de six millions de jeunes. Adult volunteers join Optimist Clubs to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be. Each Optimist Club determines the needs of the young people in its community and conducts programs to meet those needs. Every year, Optimists conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over six million young people.

🕊️ Rest in Peace, Paul Deveau

It is with heavy hearts that the members of the Russell Optimist Club say goodbye to a deeply dedicated member, Paul Deveau.

Paul’s passing leaves a profound void in our club. He was a man of quiet dedication who showed his commitment through his unwavering presence. No matter the event, Paul was *always* there, standing ready with his camera to capture the moments and milestones of our community.

Our upcoming events will feel incredibly empty without him there behind the lens. We are deeply grateful for his years of service, his unmatched reliability, and the steady support he gave to our Optimist family.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Paul’s family and loved ones. We will miss him terribly.

Rest in peace, Paul. Thank you for always showing up for us. 📸 🤍

Saturday Night Rib Night. Last Saturday evening the Optimist Club hosted its annual Rib Night. To say the evening was a success would be an understatement as there was plenty of good friends, good fun, good food, good laughs and great times.
