Eco East - Éco est Joyful, sustainable community in Prescott Russell | Communauté joyeuse et durable à Prescott Russell

We acknowledge that we here in Prescott-Russell are on the traditional unceded territory of the Omàmiwininìmowin (Algonquin) Anishnabeg and the Kanien'kehà:ka (Mohawk) nations. This land was once swamp and forest, teeming with life, before it was claimed by Europeans, divided up, and developed. The people who have lived on and cared for this land since time immemorial have knowledge to share with

us on ways of healing lands, waters, species and peoples. We, as Eco East, are working on un-learning the colonialist and capitalist perspectives with which we have been raised and are committed to respecting Indigenous knowledge and engaging in the process of reconciliation.
