✨ MEET OUR GUEST OF HONOUR – DR. OMOSADE OGUNDARE ✨

We are honoured to welcome Dr. Omosade Ogundare as our Guest of Honour at the 5th Annual Blackcellence Gala on September 19, 2026 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Regina.

Dr. Ogundare is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist with Saskatchewan Health Authority and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan. Originally from Nigeria, with medical and psychiatry training in the UK and Ireland, she has made Saskatchewan her home and has dedicated herself to serving communities across the province.

A trained Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) specialist, Dr. Ogundare brings expertise in mental health, trauma, youth development, advocacy, healthy relationships, and holistic well-being.

Beyond her professional achievements, she is a passionate mentor and advocate for Black youth and women. Through her work with CANPAD, she has supported and mentored more than 300 Black youth, earning the beloved title “Youth Whisperer.” She also leads initiatives supporting Black women through Ezer Women Connect and the Revivify Your Mind Book Club.

A true trailblazer, changemaker, community leader, wife, and mother, Dr. Ogundare embodies the spirit of this year’s theme:

“Stronger Together – Unity in Healing.” 💛

🤝🏾 Blackcellence Stakeholder Brunch 2026

A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of bringing together our sponsors, partners, community leaders, and stakeholders for the Blackcellence Stakeholder Brunch.

As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, the brunch was a meaningful opportunity to connect, reflect on our journey, express gratitude to those who continue to support our work, and look ahead to what we can accomplish together.

We were especially honoured to have Caring Hearts Regina, our 2026 Gala beneficiary, join us and share more about their important work supporting individuals and families experiencing grief, loss, and trauma.
