No, autoimmune disease is not cancer but we sometimes have similar treatments for life and its side effects... a hope to calm the disease but no cure.

We don't have cancer but the announcement causes similar emotions: fear, uncertain future, shock, anxiety, guilt and exhaustion... a world that collapses and a physical and psychological fight... an important mental load!

If you really want to help, don't improvise doctors. Don't try to find the magic formula that doesn't exist style: celery juice and organic beetroot! 🤪

| 🔍🧬 A Canadian first in cell therapy against autoimmune diseases

Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital, a centre affiliated with the Université de Montréal, is the first Canadian site to participate in the Resolution international clinical trial that aims to evaluate allogeneic CAR-T therapy to treat refractory autoimmune diseases such as lupus, myositis and scleroderma.

Led by Drs. Nicolas Richard and Imran Ahmad, associate professors of clinic at the Department of Medicine of the UdeM, this project marks a promising advance in cell therapy and clinical research. A first patient has already been treated at the HMR as part of this phase I study.
