New Business Spotlight: The Meaning Place
There’s a new space opening in Downtown PoCo, built around connection, purpose and supporting local families.
The Meaning Place Adult Day Program is a new local business at 102 – 2264 Elgin Avenue, created to provide therapeutic recreation, meaningful social connection and caregiver respite for adults and their families.
Behind The Meaning Place is a local team led by Sarah Galt and Justeene Lauwers with a real focus on creating something that feels less clinical and more like a welcoming place to spend the day, somewhere people can build friendships, stay active, take part in meaningful activities and feel connected to their community. For caregivers, it also provides valuable time to step away knowing their loved one is somewhere safe, engaging and supported.
And tomorrow is a big day for them.
The Meaning Place is celebrating its Grand Opening Saturday, October 3 from 2:00–5:00 PM. Drop in, meet Sarah and the team, tour the new space, enjoy some drinks and nibbles, and learn more about what they’re bringing to Downtown PoCo. There will also be a ribbon cutting and door prizes.
