We are a community organization in Peterborough, Ontario. It was dedicated to challenging homelessness, food security and social exclusion. We are all one city.

One City Peterborough is an organization focused on housing, food security, community safety and inclusion. We are a joining together of Warming Room Community Ministries (WRCM) and Peterborough Reintegration Services. Warming Room Community Ministries was a grassroots organization that had operated the Warming Room Overnight Shelter, One Roof Community Centre, the HOME Program and One City Peter

borough Outreach. Peterborough Reintegration Services (PRS), founded by Dan Haley, is a restorative justice based organization that has been dedicated for over a decade to assisting individuals coming out of prison to integrate into the community. It has operated programs such as Haley House and Circles of Support and Accountability. What has unified the organizations is a commitment to building a city where everyone can flourish, where no one is disposable.

Recently, One City collaborated with folks from Kids Against Hunger Canada to demonstrate how our community members can create a delicious and nutritious meal on a budget! 🥕🌽

We added simple ingredients to the Kids Against Hunger packages to create a stir-fry that can feed the whole family with minimal cooking skills needed.

Our hope in collaborating with KAH is to empower folks to feel confident in making their own meals with ingredients available at local foodbanks.

Today, we announce the transition of our Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) program to the The John Howard Society of the Kawarthas.

CoSA's transition is exciting, hopeful, and bittersweet. It has been such an honour to support and grow this restorative justice initiative over the last many years. The volunteers and coordinators that have made this program possible have done so with care and commitment to community safety and dignity. Thank you to each and every person who has been involved in CoSA along the way.

We also send a very special thank you to CoSA's current coordinator, Sheila, who has generously shared her expertise during this transition.

We are so grateful for incredible partnerships that make these transitions possible. We feel extremely lucky to have an organization like John Howard in our community. Thank you for stepping in to ensure this program continues to be available in our city.
