🐾❤️ NPLB does not usually rehome the dogs we pull from the euthanasia lists of Quebec shelters, and as you all know, we search for rescue spots for them or send them to be boarded until we find them a rescue spot.

One dog in particular tugged at our heartstrings, and he was pulled from the shelter within hours of his scheduled euthanasia.
He was sent to a board and train facility so that his behaviour could be evaluated; low and behold, he turned out to be a lovely and adoptable dog.

Long story short, an NPLB board member has an acquaintance who had recently lost his beloved GSD, but was ready for a new companion. A meet and greet was arranged and dog and human took an immediate liking to each other.

As of yesterday, Judah, formerly Yoda, now lives in a wonderful home in the GTA. Two souls who needed each other are now together.
We wish Albert and Judah very Happy Tails! 🐾❤️

📣🐾 Good morning, NPLB friends! Announcing our spring online auction, beginning at 8:00 a.m., June 23rd and ending at 8:00 a.m. on June 30th.

Here’s a preview of a few of our awesome auction items.
There will be 15 items in total. We have fine and costume jewellery, framable art, brand-new women’s clothing items and a gift certificate with a registered KPA CPT canine/feline trainer.

⏰We’ll post a reminder for the auction on June 22nd.

Hope you see something you like; most of our items make ideal gifts to give yourself or others!

100% of the funds we receive from the auction go directly to board and provide vetting for the NPLB animals in our care.

📣🐾 Hello everyone! NPLP will be hosting an awesome online auction to raise funds for boarding and vetting the dogs who need to leave the shelter, but haven’t yet found a rescue spot.

If you have any new or gently- used items that you would like to donate, please send us a message. We’re primarily looking for small, easily-mailed items and gift certificates of any value, to add to our auction.
The auction will be held from June 23rd-30th.

🐾🐾 Hello everyone and hope you’re all having a Happy Saturday!

Four lovely dogs pulled from the euthanasia list are currently on their way to the new, next chapter of their lives! Our good friend Chalkmaster Dave has hit the road with four pups, transporting them to live their best lives in the Maritimes. We owe much to our rescue partners, boarding partners and to Dave Johnston for helping NPLB save these souls.

We are looking for volunteers to join our team to help with social media posts and fundraising.
