We came together to watch *Sinners*, a film by Ryan Coogler, and it was such an amazing experience seeing a story that centers Black culture and storytelling on screen. Moments like this remind us how powerful film and community can be.

Join us this Thursday, March 13th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM for a movie night featuring Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler. Come unwind, enjoy a great film, and spend some time with the BSS community.
📍 Location: Bata Library, Room 103

PS: We will be walking together from the Freedom Lounge to Bata Library. If you are unsure where the room is, please meet us at the Freedom Lounge by 4:40 PM, and we will head over together at 4:50 PM to make sure everyone gets there on time.

Today we’re celebrating International Women’s Day by recognizing two of the incredible women who help lead and shape our Black Student Success community.

Mickayla Simpson Carty and Naomi Kelekun are both dedicated to uplifting students and building spaces where Black students at Trent can feel supported, empowered, and connected. Through their leadership, advocacy, and commitment to community, they continue to make a meaningful impact on campus.

We’re grateful for the passion, care, and strength they bring to BSS every week.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the women who continue to lead, inspire, and create change. 💜

Still glowing from our Textured & Thriving Hair Care Day 🖤✨

We’re so grateful to have shared space, knowledge, and love with such an incredible community.
A huge thank you to , author of ._ , for reminding us that our hair carries joy, history, and power and to Sammy of for teaching us practical, affirming ways to care for and love our hair in all its forms.

We’re also thankful we could give back through hair care bags and create a space that centred textured hair, confidence, and community. To everyone who showed up, listened, learned, asked questions, and shared stories thank you for making this day so special!!!
