🐾 A Little Kindness Goes a Long Way 🐾
For many families, pets are family. When times get tough, the thought of not being able to feed a beloved companion can be heartbreaking.
While we are fortunate to have our shelter animals sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition, our Pet Food Bank exists to help people through those difficult moments, but we rely on the generosity of our community to keep it stocked.
If you're able, please consider donating dog or cat food to help support local pets and the people who love them. Your donation could mean one less worry for a family and a full bowl for a hungry pet. We are currently completely out of dry cat food.
If you are unable to donate, just sharing this post helps us to reach a wider audience.
Thank you for helping us keep pets and people together. ❤️
Donations can be dropped off at the shelter during regular business hours, Tuesday to Saturday from 12-4.

After the Bald Range wildfire destroyed their home, the Hayman family was determined to keep their family together – including their pets – but housing limitations made it challenging. Their four cats, Peaches, Miso, Gauntlett, and Calamari, have been living in the care of the BC SPCA’s emergency boarding program since the fire in August while their family awaits long-term, pet-friendly housing. The Haymans, homeowners and landlords themselves, note they “understand both sides of the coin.”
