Thank you for the story Castanet! And yes, BGB will be back in 2026 - we can’t wait!

Business Gives Back is officially returning this fall, with organizers announcing the highly anticipated event will take place on Friday, Nov. 27, 2026.
Following the overwhelming success of last year’s fundraiser, the team says they are excited to once again bring the community together for an afternoon of generosity, connection, and support for local causes.
The 2025 Business Gives Back event raised an incredible $165,700, thanks to the support of local businesses, sponsors, and community members.
Held on Nov. 28, 2025 at the Barking Parrot in Penticton, the luncheon and auction drew a full house of attendees, all eager to give back. From generous cash donations to a wide range of live and silent auction items, the level of community involvement was remarkable.
“On behalf of our entire organizing team, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported Business Gives Back,” said Feedway Foundation president Johnny Aantjes. “Whether through sponsorship, donations, attending the event, or volunteering, every contribution helped make a meaningful impact.”
He said the atmosphere in the room spoke volumes about the community’s spirit.
“The generosity we saw that day was truly incredible. These funds allow the Feedway Foundation to continue expanding its reach and supporting organizations that are doing important work throughout our region. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.”
Funds raised were distributed to a wide range of local organizations supporting youth, families, and community initiatives across the South Okanagan.
The $165,700 was distributed to the following organizations:
SD67 Schools (all schools in the district) / Penticton Breakfast Club
Junior Chamber International - Penticton
ALERT - Animal Lifeline Emergency Response Team
Discovery House
Carmi Recreational Trails Society
Keremeos Community Church
Critteraid
JumpStart
SOWINS
United Way
Cadets (788 Dragoons Royal Canadian Army Cadets / 259 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets)
Happy Tails Cat Rescue Society

School District 53 (SD53) Travelling Library
Organizers say the continued support from sponsors, donors, and attendees is what makes the event possible year after year.
With plans already underway for 2026, the team says they are looking forward to building on that momentum and hosting another impactful event this November.
More details, including ticket information and sponsorship opportunities, will be shared in the coming months. In the meantime, the community is encouraged to follow along on social media and support the businesses that help make Business Gives Back a success.
