Starting Fall 2026 WCKK will once again be offering Before and After school care, including PD days and March Break! This service will be offered to school eligible children aged 4-8 years, attending Stonecrest ES and St. Michael Fitzroy ES.

The Luck of the Irish was with everyone at WCKK today! The children were in engaged in many fun St. Patrick's Day activities from art, science and music. A couple classrooms even had surprise visits from those sneaky leprechauns during naptime!

Last night the staff of WCKK got a little hot under the collar! During our staff meeting, Ottawa Firefighters from Dunrobin Station gave a fire extinguisher training workshop. Not only do the staff at WCKK have training to provide your children with the best learning experiences throughout the day, we have training to keep them safe too. I am happy to report everyone passed the fire extinguisher test with flying colours!

What a magical time at our Annual Daycare Christmas Party! 🎄✨
From Santa’s special visit 🎅 to colorful face painting, tables full of delicious baked treats, and the unforgettable sunset horse-drawn wagon rides — every moment was filled with joy.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who came out and participated alongside their children. Your presence made the day even more special 💕. All the planning and hard work was completely worth it to see the children smiling, laughing, and giggling with pure happiness. Thank you to our lovely team who made this day possible for all.

We are so grateful for our daycare family and the memories we continue to make together.

🍁🎨 Fall is in the air, and so is the learning through play at daycare! 🦃🎶

Our toddler and preschool rooms have been hard at work preparing for Thanksgiving and exploring the wonders of the season. From crafting loose part spiders 🕷️ and baking sensory bin pumpkin pies 🥧, to rescuing runaway turkeys and learning fun new songs 🎵—every activity is packed with purpose!

While we’re having all this fall fun, we’re also building fine motor skills, encouraging creative thinking, exploring cause and effect, strengthening language development, and fostering problem-solving and teamwork. 🍂💡

Play is powerful—and we’re so proud of the learning that happens every day!

Hats off to our amazing preschool graduates! 🎉

Graduation day was a day filled with huge smiles, happy tears, and so much pride as we celebrated our "grown-up" children moving on to their next big adventure: Kindergarten! 🎒

We've had the privilege of watching these little humans transform into confident, curious, and kind individuals. Every day has been an adventure filled with learning, laughter, and incredible discoveries. We couldn't be prouder of their achievements, big and small! ♥️

Our educators are simply beaming with joy for each and every one of them. Congratulations, graduates! Go out there and shine! ✨

That's a wrap for 2024! We went out with a bang with our Christmas Party for the littles. Much fun was had by all! Thank you to Bugabub Facepainting, Smithvale Stables, Mr. & Mrs. Claus and our lovely families for assisting in making a memorable event for all.
