Grey Bruce Children’s Alliance is a membership-based organization of service providers. Formed in 2005, we are dedicated to identifying community needs and supporting collective action that improves the well-being of children and youth in Grey Bruce. We seek to offer a more seamless, integrated system of supports to young people and their families across our respective agencies. As a group we are

dedicated to building bridges for children and youth that lead to a stronger community. While we have many successful organizations addressing specific needs for children and youth, we recognize how much stronger our community is when we collaborate and became allied partners in solving and meeting the needs of our children and youth.

Ontario and the federal government must reach a new child care agreement quickly, and use this funding - as well as still-needed new funding from Ontario - to stabilize the system’s foundations.

Great news for the early learning and child care sector across Canada! 🇨🇦
Today, the federal government announced a new investment of up to $5.4 billion over the next two years (2026–2028) to continue strengthening the Canada-wide early learning and child care system.
This additional funding is a crucial step forward, aimed at:
• Keeping child care affordable for families.
• Providing stability for the sector while federal, provincial, and territorial governments work on long-term, sustainable solutions.
At the Canadian Child Care Federation, we welcome this continued commitment to building an affordable, inclusive, high-quality system that allows children to thrive and helps families manage economic pressures.
