Nine years later, the Rohingya are still waiting.

For safety. For dignity. For justice. For the right to return home.

Today, we remember those who were forced to flee and stand with those still living in uncertainty.

We must not look away. We must stand with the Rohingya.

Nine years after the Myanmar military’s brutal crackdown forced more than 700,000 Rohingya to flee to Bangladesh, the crisis remains unresolved, and humanitarian conditions continue to deteriorate.
Today, on Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day, Senator Ataullahjan, MP Zahid and MP Zuberi held a press conference to release the findings and recommendations from the Canadian Parliamentary Delegation that travelled to Bangladesh with Human Concern International in November 2025.
The delegation visited Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka and met with Rohingya families, community leaders, healthcare workers and UN agencies. They witnessed the consequences of declining humanitarian funding: shuttered clinics, closed learning centres and more than 300,000 children without access to formal education.
The report calls on Canada to renew multi-year humanitarian funding, establish a dedicated Rohingya refugee resettlement pathway and apply sustained diplomatic pressure toward voluntary, safe and dignified repatriation to Myanmar.
Remembrance must be accompanied by meaningful action. Canada has led before, and now is the time to renew that leadership.

It’s Jumu’ah. 🤍

While we prepare for prayer, spend time with family and count our blessings, somewhere a family is simply hoping to make it through the day.

Your Sadaqah may feel small to you, but to someone else, it could mean food, water, warmth or hope.

The best day of the week. Give in it. 🤲🏻✨

Give your Jumu’ah Sadaqah today. Link in bio.

Mothers in Gaza are being forced to care for their children under conditions no family should have to endure.
Hunger, displacement, psychological stress and limited access to healthcare are making it increasingly difficult for mothers to feed and care for their babies.
Human Concern International is supporting mothers and women in Gaza through maternal clinics that provide antenatal and postnatal care, alongside separate distributions of essential supplies including infant formula and hygiene kits.
Through one recent initiative, HCI distributed 1,500 hygiene kits to more than 1,500 women receiving antenatal and postnatal care at our pre-hospital maternity hospital, helping protect the health and dignity of mothers and babies from pregnancy through postpartum.
Access to maternal healthcare, food, clean water, hygiene supplies and other essential support is critical for families in crisis.
Humanitarian assistance must continue reaching families who need it most.

Humanitarian workers should never be a target.

On World Humanitarian Day, we honour those serving communities through some of the world's most difficult crises.

In 2025 alone, 907 aid workers were killed, injured or kidnapped. This is the highest number ever recorded.

Human Concern International stands with humanitarian workers around the world. Their safety must be protected so life-saving aid can reach those who need it most.

A brighter start begins with a community that cares. 🎒❤️

Our Backpack Drive 2026 brought the GTA community together to help students head back to school feeling prepared, supported, and confident.

From backpacks and school essentials to the generosity of volunteers and community partners, every contribution made this day meaningful. Thank you, GTA, for showing our young students that their community stands behind them. ❤️

In just three months, 461,673 people across 25 countries were reached with food, clean water, healthcare, education, emergency relief and more.

Kindness doesn’t have to be complicated. ❤️

Sometimes it’s sharing a meal, showing up for someone, or simply choosing to care.

A little kindness can mean everything to someone. 🌍

Rabi-ul-Awwal is more than a month of remembrance it is a reminder to live by the beautiful example of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. 🌙

Choose mercy over anger.
Kindness over cruelty.
Forgiveness over revenge.
And love over hate.

May this blessed month soften our hearts, strengthen our faith, and inspire us to carry his ﷺ teachings into the way we live, love, and give. 🤍
